💛 Happy Grandparents Day from Immaculata! 💛

What a beautiful day on campus! More than 300 grandparents and grandfriends joined us for a special celebration that began with Mass celebrated by Fr. Larry and continued with conversation, laughter, a little creativity, and precious time spent together.

Today, the love, joy, and warmth of our school community were on full display. Generations coming together. Faith shared. Relationships celebrated. Memories made.

This is why we choose Immaculata. 💙🦅

This Friday, we officially kick off Phil’s Challenge, launching our annual fund...however, it has always been about so much more than fundraising.

It’s about putting our faith into action.

For the second year in a row, we are proud to partner with Note in the Pocket, a Durham organization serving families experiencing clothing insecurity. The first $1K raised through Phil’s Challenge will be donated directly to NITP, and our Eagles will support their mission through a two-week school-wide clothing drive.

Our 8th Grade students met with their PreK buddies for the very first time, sharing favorite children's books and bringing stories to life together. From silly characters to meaningful lessons, our oldest students helped guide their youngest friends through each adventure.

While our PreK students enjoyed a cozy story time, our 8th graders were also putting their ELA skills to work by exploring story elements, character development, and the themes within each book.

It was a wonderful day filled with learning, laughter, and the start of new friendships that we know will continue to grow throughout the year.

One of our favorite Immaculata traditions is almost here. Grandparents Day is a special opportunity to celebrate the grandparents and grandfriends who share their love, wisdom, encouragement, and faith with our students throughout the year.

We look forward to welcoming these important members of our families to campus for a memorable day together.

As part of the renovation and beautification of our front entrance, front office, and primary wing, we installed a custom mural by local artist and current ICS parent Stephen Whiteside. The mural brings color, joy, and a welcoming spirit to one of the most vibrant areas of our school.

We are incredibly grateful to Stephen and his family for sharing their talent and creativity with our community. What a wonderful gift for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors to enjoy for years to come!

✨ Thank you, Stephen, for helping make Immaculata an even more beautiful place to learn, grow, and belong.

Today, we gathered for the first Friday Morning Prayer of the new school year and officially launched our 2026-27 school theme:

"The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints." (Revelation 22:21)

As the final passage of Sacred Scripture, these words remind us that God's grace accompanies us as we begin a new year of learning, growth, and faith together.

We were also grateful for the opportunity to give Fr. Manuel a proper Immaculata farewell and thank him for his ministry and support of our school community. At the same time, we warmly welcomed our new pastor, Fr. Larry, and look forward to the many blessings ahead under his leadership.

A new school year, a new theme, familiar faces, and new beginnings. What a wonderful way to start the year together! 💛

💛🎶 Still singing our way into summer… 🎶💛
Happy first full week of summer! We’re still riding the joy of our final Friday Morning Prayer of the 2025–26 school year.

What a gift it is to be part of a community that quite literally wraps its arms around one another—lifting our voices together in song, celebrating all we’ve shared and accomplished this year at Immaculata. Moments like this remind us who we are, together. 💛
