If the General Assembly acts now to pass the additional funding that gets us to our original $200 million ask, centers will have the assistance they need to support themselves through the first half of 2025 and to remain rooted in their communities. We have seen far too many centers close down this year, and many more face this threat if no additional money is passed in the final budget. We can’t let this happen. That’s why we’re asking you to take action now to ensure lawmakers fully fund child care compensation grants when they finalize the budget in November.
