Big congrats to all the runners who toughed out the extreme heat—and a huge shoutout to Carolina Prep for taking the individual first-place finish!

Carolina Prep Science in Action!

Students undertook a Thermal Expansion Investigation last week, exploring one of the lesser-known drivers of sea level rise.

Using a simple hands-on setup, students measured how water changes as it heats up, then connected their findings to real-world climate data and coastal flooding.

From graphing their own data to analyzing molecule movement, students got to think like scientists while tackling a concept that even adults find tricky.

We had a great showing at our first Carolina Prep volleyball game of the year! Our girls team fought courageously but came away just short of a victory. Our team embodied what it means to be a student athlete at Carolina Prep, showcasing grit, courage, and grace! It has been so wonderful to watch our players improve game by game. Please cheer them on!!

This morning, we welcomed the new school year at Convocation, with a stirring speech by our Class President and a popsicle social.

Our incoming freshmen also wrote their names in the Carolina Prep School Book.

In four years, when they celebrate graduation, they will place a stamp next to their name, marking their status as a graduate of Carolina Prep.

We enjoyed such an incredible morning at OC Aerial in Durham on Friday, featuring wall-runs, rock-climbs, super-slide launches and plenty of community bonding.

We've had an incredible start to our new school year, filled with plenty of community building, plus diving into our IB curriculum and expectations.

Here are a few photos from our visit to the this year.

Students explored the Cranium Connection exhibit and stepped inside a giant brain to discover how minds and bodies work together.

They participated in a health education program focused on the physical, emotional, and social changes that occur during adolescence.

The learning continued outside as students climbed, played, and built community on the playground. Movement is an important part of keeping our brains active and our body systems functioning well.

We even discovered some impressive hidden hula hoop talents along the way!

It was a wonderful day of hands-on learning, personal growth, and connection; bringing important health concepts to life in meaningful and memorable ways.
