The Kindergarten supply list has been revised, so if you have already viewed or downloaded the previous version, please take a moment to review the updated list. Please pay close attention to the changes made to the Kindergarten supplies.

There has been a slight update to our Pre-K & Kindergarten Summer Playground Meetup scheduled for tomorrow morning!

Saturday, July 25
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
LOCATION CHANGE (due to high chance of rain!): Murray-Massenburg Elementary Gym/Cafeteria

Where to park: The cafeteria/gym is located at the back left of the school campus. You can enter the school campus on the far left entrance (the bus entrance), so that you can park close to the cafeteria entrance in the rainy weather!

We will have fun games to play together in the gym/cafeteria! Best of all, you can come meet Principal Brown, our amazing teachers, and other Panther families as we welcome you to the Murray-Massenburg community. Families will also have the opportunity to enjoy a brief tour inside the school and learn more about what makes our school so special.

What to bring: We will have lots of snacks to enjoy together. Please do bring your own water bottles!
We can't wait to meet our newest Panthers and their families as we kick off an amazing school year together!

Gimnasio/Cafetería de la Escuela Primaria Murray-Massenburg

Dónde estacionarse: La cafetería y el gimnasio están ubicados en la parte trasera izquierda del campus escolar. Puede ingresar al campus por la entrada ubicada más a la izquierda (la entrada de los autobuses) para estacionarse cerca de la entrada de la cafetería y así evitar caminar bajo la lluvia.

¡Tendremos juegos y actividades divertidas para disfrutar juntos en el gimnasio y la cafetería! Lo mejor de todo es que podrán conocer a la Directora Brown, a nuestros maravillosos maestros y a otras familias Panther mientras les damos la bienvenida a la comunidad de Murray-Massenburg. Good afternoon Panther Nation,

We have some very exciting news! As Murray-Massenburg Elementary continues to grow, we have now been allotted two assistant principal positions. Please join us in welcoming Ms. Alexandra Toti Hurdle and Ms. Nicole Edwards to the Murray-Massenburg Administrative Team

Ms. Hurdle brings experience in instructional leadership, curriculum and assessment, advanced academics, and family engagement. During her career with Durham Public Schools, she has served as an AIG Specialist, Testing Coordinator, 504 Case Manager, and Principal Intern, where she has supported teachers, led professional learning, and worked to strengthen student achievement. We are excited to welcome Ms. Hurdle to Panther Nation and look forward to the leadership, energy, and expertise she will bring to our school community!

Ms. Diondris Nicole Edwards joins Murray-Massenburg Elementary School as Assistant Principal. She comes to Panther Nation from Neal Elementary School, where she served as Assistant Principal and previously served in leadership roles as Title I Coordinator and Testing Coordinator. Ms. Edwards is a graduate of North Carolina Central University, where she earned her degree in School Administration. She is committed to instructional excellence, student achievement, and building strong relationships with students, staff, and families. We are excited to welcome Ms. Edwards and the leadership and dedication she will bring to our school community.

As you can see everyone, we are "Prowling with a Purpose" even during the summer break!
