How do you get to the Strawberry festival? Scroll to see the parking map! 📍The Festival is at Old North Durham Park, behind Central Park School for Children. Several lots will be closed for the festival and while some street parking will be available, please park with care and respect for our neighbors. We recommend our FREE Park & Ride shuttle (see second slide), walking, using public transit, biking, or ride sharing to the festival whenever possible. Limited handicapped parking is available in front of the school.
❗️FREE PARK & RIDE: Morgan Rigsbee Parking Deck
(105 West Morgan Street) - only .3 miles from the festival! Our shuttles will pick up every 15 minutes and take you to the park! Miss the bus? It’s just a 6 minute walk from the free deck.

Every May for 21 years, children, parents, alumni, and community members of all ages gather to enjoy a fun-filled family day in the park while raising money to expand learning for our students. This event, which takes place at Old North Durham Park, in the center of our new K-8 city block campus, will feature:
🍓 Live music & entertainment
🍓 Arts & Crafts
🍓 Strawberry treats and desserts
🍓 Activity booths
🍓 Community vendors
🍓 Silent Auction … and more!
We can’t wait to celebrate 21 years of CPSC’s Strawberry Festival with you this Spring!

🌳✏️All alumni are invited to our special Alumni Open House on December 18th! If your alum is home for the holidays and free that evening, we would be thrilled to welcome them back to our newly restored Upper School.

This event is designed exclusively for alumni, as a chance for former students to reconnect with classmates, say hello to favorite teachers, and see firsthand how their school has grown.

Our Upper School now completes our vision of a connected city-block campus, bookending Old North Durham Park with our beloved Lower School on Foster Street and our beautifully revitalized 96-year-old Upper School across the park or big field. We can’t wait to share this milestone with the young people who helped shape CPSC into the school it is today.

At the Alumni Open House, former students will:
🌳Tour the new Upper School and see learner-centered classrooms alive with project work
🌳Experience the exciting future of our child-centered, project-based learning campus
🌳Reconnect with fellow alumni and teachers
🌳Enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and an informal celebration together

From collaborating on project shares, to sparking curiosity on walking field trip adventures, to celebrating our community at the Strawberry Festival, your alumni’s time at CPSC is a vital part of our history. Now, we want to invite them to return and see how the school has grown!

We can’t wait to welcome Alumni back into the one-of-a-kind community that they helped build. * Please RSVP by December 12th here: https://evite.me/brCAgrwPFN *

Looking forward to seeing alumni at our new Upper School!
