As we prepare to announce the winner of the 2023 Heisman Humanitarian Award, we want to take a moment to salute the 2022 winner, former Duke University Men's Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski.

Coach K’s Emily Krzyzewski Center annually serves up to 2,000 students from K-12 in the Durham, NC area to provide support in all aspects of their academic career. They implement four distinct programs - Pioneer Scholars, Scholars to College, Scholars on Campus and Game Plan: College - designed to build on the academic, career, and leadership potential of students who are traditionally underrepresented in higher education.

In addition to the Emily Krzyzewski Center, Coach K supports a variety of philanthropic organizations, including the Duke Children’s Hospital, the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research and many others.

Check out the good work Coach K is doing at the Emily K Center at EmilyK.org!
