๐ŸŽถ Exciting News from Trinity School's 7th Grade Music Class! ๐ŸŒŸ

Our 7th graders have been diving into the healing world of music therapy. They've spent the semester exploring how music can be a powerful medicine, particularly for our cherished veteran community. ๐ŸŽต๐Ÿฉบ

Their journey culminated in a special project: each group researched and presented a song, aiming to bring joy and healing through music. After a spirited class vote, the winning song was the upbeat and timeless classic "Fun, Fun, Fun" by the Beach Boys! ๐Ÿ–๏ธ๐ŸŽธ

It's more than a performance; it's a heartfelt tribute to the power of music and its therapeutic magic. ๐ŸŽน๐ŸŽค

๐ŸŒŸ Thank you to everyone who joined us at Trinity School for the captivating production of "The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane"! ๐ŸŽญ

Our talented actors in Advanced Theatre brought an extraordinary story to life. Audiences experienced the range of the performers skills, as three of the four performers transformed into 9-12 distinct characters each, changing costumes, accents, and physicality right before their eyes. ๐Ÿ‘ Impressively, they never left the stage once they appeared, ensuring a seamless and captivating performance throughout.

We're grateful for the chance to share this extraordinary display of theatrical brilliance with you. Stay tuned for more amazing performances from our talented students, including Seussical the Musical this Spring!!

Winterim at Trinity School is a unique period between the 1st and 2nd semesters in Upper School, where a rich yet unhurried education comes to life. Over the course of a week, students dive into two immersive classes. This year's Winterim echoed our state motto, "esse quam videre" - to be rather than to seem.

There were courses focused on the importance of being fully present in a moment and finding oneself (Water-led Watercolor Painting, Who am I?, Hiking and Mental Health, Drop Everything and Read, Wilderness Skills, Film Buff).

Some learned that a fulfilling and successful journey through life is rooted in community and teamwork (the Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope, Swoosh Academy, the Beautiful Game, Building a Robotic Arm, Design a Trebuchet, Rube Goldberg, 3D Modeling and Animation).

Some learned about stewarding our relationships, our differences, with others, whether those be worldview differences, personalities differences, or our different ethnic heritages (Living Room Conversations, Album of the Year, Service Learning; Film, Food, & Culture of Spanish-Speaking Countries; Etymology and the Evolution of Language).

Congratulations to everyone for making this Winterim a truly enriching experience!

โญโญโญโญโญ Our Upper School Theatre has enchanted the audience once again with their darkly comedic rendition of "Arsenic and Old Lace." The audience Friday night was captivated by the performances of each student who brought their characters to life with humor and wit. In the play, Mortimer Brewster uncovers a co**se in his aunts' house amid his engagement announcement, leading to a series of unexpected confessions and a whirlwind of family antics. It's not too late for you to experience this hilariously chaotic show tonight at 7 p.m.!

Exploring Da Vinci's World at Trinity School

Over six weeks, our first grade Gold and Blue classes immersed themselves in the world of Leonardo da Vinci, embodying the essence of . Their journey has been a vibrant tapestry of art, history, and innovation.

From crafting self-portraits to reinterpreting the Mona Lisa, each student has showcased a unique blend of creativity and insight. The 'Ideal Bedroom' and collaborative 'Ideal City' models reflect not just their artistic skills but also their ability to think beyond the ordinary.

In art classes, students created Leonardo's Horse sculptures and sketched their own invention ideas. Their perspective drawings and sketches of the First Grade fall tree are vivid examples of how they're learning to observe and interpret the world around them.

We're excited to see our young learners embracing the joy and richness of learning in such a dynamic way.

Fall has been loads of fun in the Trinity Lower School. The Transitional Kindergarten students have been searching for pumpkins and doing sack races outside. Between all that fun, they learned about what makes a pumpkin float in water! In Ms. Holmes' music class, the Kindergarteners invited parents for a Harvest Hoedown with performances and dancing. In 4th grade, the students presented reports, dioramas, drawings, and more as part of Shiloh Day. These photos are only a sliver of all that's been going on. Trinity Ranked #2 Best Christian High School in North Carolina (and #8 Best Private Kโ€“12 School in North Carolina).

Our Christian, classical, rich, yet unhurried mission is what makes a Trinity education unique. Every day our faculty and staff pour out their lives to make the mission come alive and impact every student and family in attendance.

We live this mission because it is our calling, not for anyone to notice. But it is nice when the world outside of our classical columns and the Hundred Acre Woods takes note. The Niche.com rankings are in part determined by reviews from parents and students. If you haven't yet done so, feel free to leave your review on our Niche profile.

To God be the glory as we celebrate together all he is doing and will do as we carry the mission forward!

With more than 900 people in attendance, our amazing fall festival event exuded that unmistakable autumn ambiance. The afternoon was filled with exciting moments, from the closely contested Varsity soccer game, which (although it didn't go our way) showcased incredible sportsmanship, to thrilling volleyball matches. The multicultural event added a rich tapestry of diversity to the festivities, while the baseball outfield bustled with children frolicking in the afternoon sunshine. Thanks to Q Shack for once again whetting our appetites with amazing 'cue and sides!

Dr. Denton remarked about the event, "I like to say that Trinity is a Gospel community of learners. The Community piece was front and center yesterday. This event, in-person and unhurried, was such a great missional moment for the school."

Students in Mr. Hicks' Design 1 class kicked off the semester learning the Engineering Design Process. Starting with defining the problem, their mission was to drop an egg from the second story without it breaking. The teams prototyped ideas that they then tested, going through iterations until finally arriving at a solution. It was a tense moment as each of them dropped their eggs, but we're happy to report that no eggs were harmed in this project!

Middle School Rubric Challenge!
Under Mrs. Whisenhunt's guidance, our middle schoolers embraced the Rubric Challenge. In competitive groups they enthusiastically created unique creatures from a bag of miscellaneous materials; then they utilized a variety of skills to meet 10 requirements on a grading rubric. Focusing on rubrics is key to acing assignments! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒŸ
