is working on this in North Carolina! We’ve had hours and hours of meetings with the state Dept. of Insurance and are also raising awareness with state legislators. It’s the work we do for licensed child care providers and our privilege! We’ve learned a LOT about this topic over the last year and are exploring potential solutions as a result. Stay tuned!

The childcare insurance crisis continues to get media attention albeit at a much slower pace than the aftermath of this ongoing epidemic.

After hearing from our sources in Washington, D.C., we have confirmed with the state (DCDEE and Governor’s office) that federal subsidy funding for December services arrived in NC this morning; therefore, there should be not be much of a delay in getting it out to providers. We are grateful for the governor and his administration, who addressed this matter with urgency and advocated fiercely to our congressional delegation to try to prevent reimbursement delays that would harm working families and providers.
