We had an exciting start to Teachers’ Appreciation Week’. We DoNut what we what do without our Shepard Teachers and staff. Thank you for all you do for our children!

WOW!! Shepard IB Magnet Middle School and the PTSA showed up and showed out at Durham Council PTAs 1st Annual Conference Evening of Elegance on Saturday, May 20 by bringing home Outstanding Unit Award and there were @8 (I need to get the final count, some students were unable to make it) students that were Reflections Award winners.

We ended the week with a walking Taco lunch. It didn’t quite go as planned but I think the teachers enjoyed it.

Thursday Teachers and staff were able to stop by the lounge to get a Satin Hands treatment from the fabulous MaryKay consultant, Piard. They were given body butter and some even got the satin hand set.

Teacher Appreciation Week continues with a Wednesday Snack Attack.

1. On Monday, May 8 You Make Us Bloom - bring your teacher’s favorite flower (live, a card, or a drawing)

2. On Wednesday, May 10 Snack Attack - we would like to stock the teacher lounge. Signup using signup genius (link below) to have your kids bring in prepackaged snacks (cookies, chips, nuts, granola bars, candy bars), bottles of water, and soda. Please have your child bring these items May 1-5 and leave them with their home room teacher.

3. On Thursday, May 11 Wishlist of Love - Pick something from your teacher’s favorite list and show them how much you love and appreciate them for all they do.
