Happy New Year to all of our families around the area! We love you all and are so excited to take on 2025!

It’s Ugly Sweater Day here for IDYL’s Winter Spirit Week! Thanks to everyone who dressed up. And man! Those sweaters are ugly!

What a great week we had at IDYL! And what great students we have as we celebrated our students of the month on Friday! Congratulations to our wonderful students and keep up the good work!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of those celebrating! We’re thankful for our families and our community who hope to continue to serve! We love you all and stay blessed!

If you were not aware already, the Institute for the Development of Young Leaders is #4 in the state in terms of Academic Growth. Congratulations to our teachers/staff, who work day in and day out to help our future leaders!

Last Thursday, IDYL held their PAC meetings with performances from Grades K-1, 3rd, 5th, and 8th! We also got a special opportunity to see our IDYL Cheering Panthers perform for the first time this year!

Doughnuts for Dads! Thank you to all of the fathers who showed up for us and our scholars! We appreciate you!

It’s been an extremely exciting week for the IDYL Family as we celebrated two major events this week. On Wednesday, we put a spotlight on Anti-Bullying as it was National Anti-Bullying Day for the school. A sea of orange shirts filled the auditorium as the students were given skits and discourse on the different types of bullying, ways to point out bullying, and ways to stop bullying as well.

Then, the next day, IDYL celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month as our families came to the school and celebrated with the students. We ate food, danced the night away, and learned more about multiple hispanic countries thanks to our beautifully decorated classrooms!

On the 13th of September, the IDYL School had their Grandparents Day! Thank you to all of the grandparents that showed up for our little scholars!

Happy Juneteenth! Commemorating the day all Americans who were formerly enslaved were freed.
May God bless all the descendants of the enslaved Africans throughout the diaspora. May the memory of the strength of the ancestors give us courage to hope against hope. May you live abundantly in the freedom that was won.
