Our Story

The North Carolina Central University Office of Alumni Relations’ fourth-annual 40 Under 40 Alumni Awards Gala will recognize young alumni who have made significant contributions in the arts, entertainment, healthcare, sciences, education, law, business, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, public service or government.

The Office of Alumni Relations developed the Forty Under Forty Alumni Awards to engage, re-engage, educate, honor and develop the next generation of advocates, donors and ambassadors for NCCU. Graduates under the age of 40 comprise a third of the university’s alumni base. These numbers will increase by at least 1,000 in each of the coming years.

Since its founding, NCCU has produced alumni who have made a lasting impact in their communities and the world. Honorees are selected by a committee of their peers, with support and assistance from university faculty and staff.
