The official ribbon cutting for the Peggy M. Ward Financial Education Center was amazing! We celebrated the generosity and vision of this distinguished Eagle alumna (NCCU School of Business '74) who has made it her life's work to impart financial wisdom on a grand scale.

I am deeply honored to be named a 2026 USBC Power 50 Honoree. This recognition reflects the power of purpose-driven leadership and the collective impact we can have when we lead with intention.

To be recognized alongside such an accomplished group of women is truly humbling. I look forward to joining this remarkable class at the USBC Power 50 Celebration on March 19, 2026, in Washington, D.C., and remain grateful for the opportunity to serve and lead with purpose.

Celebrating our students’ meaningful impact on our community. I was excited to join student ambassadors Jordan White and Zorah Bynum as NCCU was recognized as the Sector Champion for Public Campuses in the 2025 NC Collegiate Hunger Challenge! Jordan and Zorah led a semester-long effort to raise awareness of food insecurity and won $5,000. True to form, these Eagles have decided to donate the funds to campus efforts to fight hunger.

| I want to thank the NCCU community and our partners for coming together during last weekend’s winter storm.

From the teams across Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities, Residence Life, Student Engagement and Leadership, NCCU Hospitality, NCCU Information Technology Services - ITS, e-Learning, faculty, and the NCCU Police Department, your care, coordination, and commitment helped prioritize student safety and ensure the continuity of campus operations.

I am also deeply grateful to our partners with the City of Durham, NC Government and the State of North Carolina for their support. Together, your teamwork and dedication exemplified Eagle excellence during a challenging winter event.
