North Carolina Central University has named Ricky Holden '22 as the new head softball coach. Holden joins NCCU after leading Claflin University to the 2026 CIAA Championship and an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance, bringing a proven record of success in player development, championship leadership and student-athlete mentorship.

A Henderson, North Carolina, native, Holden is ready to lead the softball program into its next chapter!
