Late Post, but definitely worth sharing!

Yesterday, our 6th-grade Gryphons participated in an engaging Community Circle facilitated by Ms. Anita Neville, our Restorative Practices Coordinator.

During the activity, students were presented with different scenarios and asked to move to the side of the room that best represented how they would respond.

This interactive activity gave students an opportunity to share their perspectives, listen to their classmates, and learn that we may approach situations differently—and that’s okay!

Activities like this help us strengthen communication, build relationships, and create a stronger sense of community among our students.

At The School for Creative Studies, we continue to build Community through our 4Cs: Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Community.

Building Community, One Circle at a Time!!!!

Today our 8th-grade students participated in a meaningful Community Building Circle facilitated by our Restorative Practices Coordinator, Ms. Anita Neville.

Community Building Circles provide students with opportunities to strengthen relationships, practice active listening, share their voices, and develop a greater sense of connection and belonging.

These experiences help create a school community where students feel heard, valued, respected, and supported.

At The School for Creative Studies, this work connects directly to our 4 Cs—Creativity, Collaboration, Communication, and Community—and our GUARD expectations: Give Respect, Use Responsibility, Act with Integrity, Ready to Learn, and Demonstrate Pride.

As we continue to Align, Act, and Achieve, we know that strong relationships and a strong sense of community help create the foundation for student success.

Thank you, Ms. Neville, for creating space for our 8th-grade Gryphons to connect, communicate, and build community.
