BCA "LEAVING A LEGACY" ANNUAL FUND DRIVE UPDATE: More than $3000 was contributed on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 28, bringing our total Annual Fund giving to $28,595.00, exceeding our goal of $25,000. To God be the Glory! IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO GIVE. Let's do so between now and the last day of school on December 15. We still need to hear from many of our parents and staff. Send your gift into the school office made out to BCA and mark on the envelope, "Annual Fund" OR mail to BCA, 1914 South Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. Whether it is $10, $100, whatever, every dollar allows us to do so much more. The Computer Lab, Fume Hood, and some of the playground improvements are already a reality. WE CAN DO MORE!

This holiday season, the PTF Teacher Appreciation Committee has decided to try some new ideas to show our amazing BCA/BCP staff how much we love and appreciate them! We will be celebrating a Week of Holiday Cheer December 11-15th! We have many fun things planned, however, we need help from each of you!

Below is a link to a 🎁Staff Christmas Wish List including school supplies, books, and a gift wish from each staff member. Let's show our love and appreciation by making all of their Christmas wishes come true!
Here's how it works!

1. Click on the link.
2. Find the item/items you would like to donate.
3. Claim the item. This is important so that we do not end up with lots of duplicate items!
4. Purchase the item.
5. Wrap the item and label it with the item number (listed on the giftful website).
6. Return the item to BCA before December 8th, 2023.
https://giftful.com/wishlists/6N9rt8uWL00gGaPxLCpZ

A few notes:
1. Each item has a link- you do not have to purchase from that exact retailer- this is an example of what was requested from the teacher. If there is anything about the request it has been noted.
2. There are lots of gift card requests- the suggested minimum amount is $20.
3. Finally, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Wendy Harris via call or text at 919-986-0790 or email the PTF at [email protected]

Thank you so much for your help in making our BCA/BCP Staff Wishes a reality! Whether you are near or far - you can contribute. Virtual gift cards cane be sent to the ptf email address above!

Put BCA on your Christmas list for the best in Kingdom Education! What BCA does throughout the year cannot be covered by tuition alone. Give your end-of-year gift for capital improvements like a 24-station Apple lab for K-12, needed science equipment, playground improvements, etc. If everyone gives something, much can be done. Help leave a legacy of kingdom education.

THANKSGIVING BREAK IN TAMPA, FLORIDA, DAY 1, PART 2: Happy Thanksgiving Holidays to our Bethesda family! Debbie and I enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving service and tree lighting at Idlewild Church with Senior Pastor Dr. Edgar Apointe, church of over 4000. The pastor received his doctorate at SEBTS-Wake Forest and attended Covenant Church where Senior Pastor Tom Mercer is. Tom’s kids graduated from NRCA. Small world! Pastor Edgar knew NRCA well and spoke highly of the Academy. Gave a shout out to Dr. Steve McKinion, an NRCA Board member. Such a blessed night! To God be the glory!

UPDATE ON DR. GLEN SCHULTZ: I received word today that my dear friend, Dr. Glen Schultz, is being moved from his physical therapy facility in Athens to a facility in Charleston, SC, which is home for Glen and Sharon. The prayer is that if there are on-going improvements, he will go home soon. Moving to Charleston allows Glen's sweet wife Sharon to be back in her own home and church, Cathedral of Praise. She has been away with Glen for four months during his recovery. To be in Charleston will be an incredible blessing for her. There will be a lapse in Medicare soon, which will mean they will cover 100% of expenses for a time. We need to pray for the family and support them during this difficult time. Below is a GoFundMe link and QR code. We have so much to be thankful for; let's remember our dear brother and Sharon in prayer and through your support.

A RHEMA FROM THE WORD TODAY: David writes Psalm 19:1 from the perspective of a Shepherd-King having spent many hours outdoors. Day and night, he has scanned the sky and what he saw was an immense array of stars, the sun, and the moon that taught him to worship the Creator. He asserts that all of creation displays the glory of God. The sun, stars, and planets tell the story of His glory. The vast expanse of creation is the work of His skillful hands. Nature shouts that God is divine, all-powerful, and all-wise. Such a creative work gives ample evidence that an eternal God exists. To God be the Glory! I

A RHEMA FROM THE WORD TODAY: Even in our youth we are limited In our strength for even the strongest will grow faint and weary. We can be foolishly overconfident in the days of our youth. It is the Lord who gives us supernatural strength when we are weary. He supplies the strength to fly in the spirit of the Lord, to run without fatigue, and to walk uprightly. To WAIT on the Lord implies we do so prayerfully, with hope, ready to do what God says on His timetable. If we do so, we will soar in the heavenlies victoriously like the eagle; we will run the road of life every day with His presence to do His work and finish the course; and we will walk and not faint because our faith, like shoe leather, keeps on keeping on. Let us fly victoriously, run steadfastly, and walk uprightly for Jesus!

BCA KICKS OFF ITS "LEAVING A LEGACY" ANNUAL FUND DRIVE NOVEMBER 1: Let me encourage our staff, school families, and church to support BCA's annual fund goal of $25,000. Leaving a Legacy is about passing on an intentional gift with great faithfulness. Help us acquire an Apple Computer Lab to be used by all students K-11 and a fume hood to advance our science programs. We are also exploring improvement of our playgrounds. EVERY GIFT IS TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. The Annual Fund Drive is from November 1-December 31, 2023.

Will you put BCA on your Christmas list? Everyone can gift something! Let's be 100% in as we advance the Kingdom education of our students. Please earmark your gifts for the Annual Fund. Help us "Leave A Legacy" of Kingdom education as we train up the next generation of leaders.

A RHEMA FROM THE WORD TODAY: Consider suffering a great joy! What? James is saying don't wait for suffering to end before you have joy. God actually uses suffering to produce something worthwhile and eternal; it is endurance. Our trials form in us a spiritual maturity, perfect or complete, that is strengthened as we remain under the weight of suffering. Joy, steadfastness, and spiritual maturity come from knowing and trusting that God is who He says He is, and He willl do what He says He'll do. He will "never leave us or forsake us" (Deut. 31:8).

A RHEMA FROM THE WORD TODAY: My life verse is Philippians 3:14: Daily, let us purse Christ until He meets with us in eternity. Lord, let us make our mark, our aim in life, to know the thoughts, purposes, and counsels of God.

10/25/2023

A RHEMA FROM THE WORD TODAY: God knows the way. He told us, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." He is to be LORD of our life. Trust Him with all your heart! HE WILL LEAD, GUIDE, AND DIRECT ALL THINGS FOR HIS GLORY AND YOUR BENEFIT!!!

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT OF DR. SCHULTZ: As a prayed over Dr. Schultz on Wednesday at the The Oaks, my heart was incredibly grateful for his influence and impact through Kingdom education. They are designing a wheelchair for Glen due to his height which we allow for more mobility as they continue his physical therapy. YOU CAN SEND CARDS TO THE OAKS, 490 KATHWOOD DRIVE, ATHENS, GA. Perhaps some schools could have kids send cards. I know many of you have been blessed by his ministry. Renewanation has set up a GoFundMe page to help with Dr. Schultz's Recovery! Click on the link below and help this dear man of God, Sharon his lovely wife, and his family.

WHAT A JOY TO VISIT MY DEAR BROTHER DR. GLEN SCHULTZ: Flew to Atlanta yesterday and drove to Athens, GA, to visit him at The Oaks, a physical therapy facility where he is recovering. Great to see him talking, eating, drinking, and recovering. To my surprise, his daughter Teri Schultz Cornell, was there who taught at NRCA in 1998-1999. What a blessing to see her and Sharon, Glen's lovely wife. Glen and I talked ministry, memories, and Kingdom education having been friends for the past 30 years. We were at it for an hour before I prayed for him and drove to Lilburn, GA, where I am doing Professional Development for the staff of Providence Christian Academy. So thankful for God's miracle-working power in Glen's life. So thankful I can call him my dear friend.
