Today, we're excited to introduce our 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. McKinnon!
Mrs. Renell McKinnon is excited to serve her fourth year here at Bethesda Christian Academy and has been an elementary educator since 2007. A proud alumna of Saint Augustine's University, she was born and raised in New York but now proudly calls North Carolina home. Mrs. McKinnon considers it a joy and privilege to help cultivate students’ relationship with Christ while fostering a lifelong love of learning. She and her husband have two sons, Samuel and Cameren, and she treasures her role as a mother. She looks forward to another wonderful year partnering with students and families at BCA.

At Bethesda Christian Academy, we believe athletics is about more than what happens on the scoreboard. It’s about who we are becoming and how we represent Christ in every practice, game, and interaction.

Today, we're excited to introduce our after-school staff, Ms. Lindsey!
Ms. Jamesha Lindsey is excited to serve on the after-school team at Bethesda Christian Academy. A native of Durham, North Carolina, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Sciences with a concentration in Human Development and Family Studies from UNC Greensboro in 2023. With more than six years of experience working with children, Mrs. Lindsey is passionate about creating a safe, caring, and joyful environment where students feel valued and supported. Outside of school, she enjoys attending church, serving her community through outreach, learning songs on the keyboard, playing the clarinet, walking, biking, and relaxing.

Since joining BCA in 1997, Ms. Brown has faithfully served our school community with dedication, wisdom, and a heart for students and families. For nearly three decades, she has poured into the lives of countless children, teachers, and families, helping shape the BCA family we know and love today.
We are incredibly grateful for her years of faithful service, leadership, and commitment to Christian education. We pray that God continues to bless Ms. Brown abundantly in the year ahead!

Today, we're excited to introduce our upper school teacher, Mrs. Kincheloe!
Mrs. Zoé Nicole Kincheloe is excited to teach her sixth year serving at BCA, where she teaches all the middle school Sciences, 10th grade Geometry, Theatre, and coaches middle school girls’ soccer. She holds a degree in Middle Grades Math and Science from Appalachian State University and is passionate about helping students develop a biblical worldview while growing in their knowledge and understanding. A creative and inquisitive teacher, Mrs. Kincheloe enjoys encouraging students both inside and outside the classroom through academics, the arts, and athletics. She is married and is the proud mom of Ryker, who is a BCA student. She also enjoys soccer and coaching, and looks forward to seeing God work in the hearts and minds of the BCA community.

Today, we're excited to introduce our K4 assistant teacher, Ms. Johnson!
Ms. Navra Johnson brings eight years of teaching experience to BCA, including five years serving our school community. She holds a certificate in Early Childhood Education and previously worked at our preschool from 2007–2009 before returning in 2023. A Durham native and Riverside High School graduate, Ms. Johnson is passionate about caring for and educating young students. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, bowling, swimming, singing karaoke, and relaxing.

Mrs. Chloe Johnson serves BCA as one of our fourth-grade teachers and brings a passion for learning and a heart for Christ-centered education to her classroom. As a proud BCA alumna, she is in her second year of teaching at BCA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies from Campbell University. Mrs. Johnson is committed to creating a classroom family where students feel loved, valued, and encouraged to grow in their academic abilities and relationship with the Lord.
