Thank you, Holt Hawk students and families! All 3rd and 5th grade students were present today for our first day of EOG testing. Thank you for helping us start testing on a strong and positive note!
Tomorrow, testing will continue with 4th and 5th Grade Reading assessments.
We also need all 3rd grade students at school tomorrow, as they will participate in an important math review session to prepare for testing. Third grade students will take their Math EOG on Monday, June 1st.

We would like to invite our New Rising Kindergarten families to our KindergartenTransition Meeting tomorrow, May 19th from 5pm-6pm.
At that time, you will meet our Kindergarten team, learn about how Kindergarten expectations, your student(s) will complete Kindergarten Assessments, as well as all DLI Families will meet with Ms. Cedeno in which to sign the Kindergarten DLI Parent Commitment Form.

The End-of-Grade (EOG) Mathematics (3rd-5th), English/Language Arts (3rd-5th) and Science (5th) summative assessments will be administered from May 28 - June 5. The EOGs are designed to measure student performance on the goals, objectives, and grade-level competencies specified in the North Carolina Common Core Standards. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 am each morning.
May 28 - 3rd Grade Reading/5th Grade Science
May 29 - 4th and 5th Grade Reading (3rd Grade Reading Make-ups)
June 1 - 3rd Grade Math (4th and 5th Grade Reading Make-ups)
June 2 - 4th and 5th Math (3rd Grade Math Make-ups)
June 3 - 3rd Grade RTA/Science (Retesting) and (4th and 5th Grade Math Make-ups)
June 4 - Reading (Retesting)
June 5 - Math(Retesting)
To prepare your child for testing, please ensure that your child:
-gets the appropriate amount of sleep the night before the assessment
-has a healthy breakfast
-arrives at school on time the day of the assessment

Attention Rising Kindergarten Families! Join us for Kindergarten Transition Night on May 19th from 5:00pm–6:00pm to learn all about Holt Elementary School, meet staff, and hear important information about expectations for our newest students.
