A Restless Night

Last night my bed told the story of a long night… pillows moved, blankets tossed aside, and a search for one comfortable position.

There were moments when all I could think was, “Why can’t I sleep?”

But then another thought quietly found its way in…

“At least the angels are watching over me.”

They didn’t make the pain disappear. They didn’t magically bring sleep. But somehow, I felt like I had company while I waited for morning.

Sometimes that’s enough.

If you’re facing your own restless night, I hope you find whatever brings you comfort and reminds you that you don’t have to feel alone.

Wishing you peace, comfort, and gentle moments today.

Coffee’s poured.
The morning is quiet.
The to-do list can wait.

Here’s your gentle reminder that not every moment has to be productive. Some mornings are meant to be savored.

Deep breaths. Warm coffee. Grateful hearts.

May you find a little peace in the ordinary today.

Wishing you an easy Sunday. 💛

🍕🍷 Joy doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.

Sometimes it shows up as an unexpected break in the weather.

A conversation with a friend you haven’t seen in a while.

A glass of wine.

A slice of pizza.

A quiet evening spent with someone you love.

I’ve been reminded lately that happiness isn’t something we have to chase. It’s often waiting in the ordinary moments we’ve learned not to overlook.

The angels don’t only celebrate our biggest milestones. I like to think they smile right alongside us when we’re laughing over dinner, taking the scenic route home, or simply grateful for a beautiful day.

So tonight, wherever you find yourself, I hope you take a moment to notice something good.

Because a life filled with little moments of joy becomes a joyful life.

This morning during a grief counseling session, I found myself talking about Belinda’s rose.

When I first brought it home, I didn’t want to deadhead the spent blooms. Somehow it felt as though removing them would be taking away a piece of her. Those first flowers were precious to me.

But roses teach us something remarkable.

If we never remove the blossoms that have finished blooming, the rose can’t put its energy into new growth. Deadheading isn’t taking life away from the plant. It’s making room for new life.

As I looked at Belinda’s rose, I realized that’s a little like grief.

Moving forward doesn’t mean forgetting someone we love. It doesn’t mean their life mattered any less. The memories remain. The love remains.

Sometimes, honoring someone means allowing the love they planted in us to continue growing.

Today, Belinda’s rose has fresh buds and new leaves. It is flourishing.

And perhaps that’s what those we love would want for us, too—not to stay frozen in our sorrow, but to carry them with us as we continue to bloom.

If you’re walking through a season of loss, be gentle with yourself. There is no timetable for grief. But when you’re ready, know that making room for joy is not leaving your loved one behind.

It is allowing the love they gave you to blossom into something new. 🌹

Good Sunday morning, friends.

You may have noticed I’ve been a little quieter here lately.

Sometimes life asks us to slow down. Between work, family, and some personal milestones, I’ve been giving myself permission to move a little more gently. I’ve learned that even those of us who encourage others to find peace need to remember to extend that same grace to ourselves.

As I sat down with my morning coffee today, I was reminded that our angels never ask us to be perfect or constantly productive. They simply invite us to return to peace, to gratitude, and to love whenever we’re ready.

If you’ve been feeling a little stretched lately too, consider this your reminder that it’s okay to pause. Rest isn’t falling behind. Sometimes it’s exactly where healing begins.

Wishing you a peaceful Sunday and a beautiful week ahead.

Good morning! ☕💜

I’m spending part of this Sunday working on the next Rainbow Wings newsletter, and I always look forward to these quiet moments.

Each newsletter is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and share a little encouragement, hope, and inspiration for the week ahead. Sometimes the words come quickly, and other times they arrive one cup of coffee at a time.

As always, thank you for walking this journey with me. I can’t wait to share this month’s message with you.

And if you didn’t know, I also have another little passion project—celebrating love through my officiant business, Ceremonies by Kim. It fills my heart to be able to support people through both life’s everyday moments and some of its most meaningful milestones.

Wishing you a peaceful and beautiful Sunday. 💜
