We are excited to announce that the Second Annual Kicking Cancer 5K will be held on October 22nd, in Hardscrabble, at 9am. The kicking cancer 5k started from a desire to raise awareness for cancer in the Voyager Academy community as well as to support those who have battled or are still battling Cancer at the school. Last year we raised more than $7,700. We had 115 racers and many amazing volunteers. This year's 5K will be in memory of Ms. Laura McGhinnis (2022) and Coach Pete Shankle (2019) who lost their battles with cancer. Both were amazing teachers who had a strong impact on the Voyager community. We are keeping their legacy at Voyager alive through this donation in honor of all their contributions to the school. We will be making a donation to the American Cancer Society in honor of both Ms. McGhinnis and Coach Shankle. The rest of the money will be going to Ms. McGhinnis's children to help them through this time of transition.

Voyager Academy will offer a hot lunch meal option from K & W Cafeteria! Hot meals will be delivered daily to each school prior to meal time. The meals are made fresh offsite at K&W’s kitchen. They are delivered in individual hermetically sealed meal plates kept warm in commercial grade insulated food delivery bags. These meal containers closely resemble microwave meal trays. We assure you that the meals are made fresh daily following the USDA National School Lunch Program (NSLP) meal requirements.
Lunch orders are placed on the LINQ Online Ordering system (https://family.onlineordering.linq.com/) The cost for lunch is $4.50 per student per meal for all students not participating in the Free and Reduced lunch meal program. There is a Vegetable Plate option listed under A la Carte items. It generally has the vegetables of the day and a starch item. The cost is $4.50 for a vegetable plate entrée. It does not qualify for the NSLP pricing & program.
All meal purchases are prepaid. You will add money to your student’s account via the Titan Payment portal (https://family.titank12.com/). It is recommended that families set up reoccurring payments by week or month. This ensures you have enough funds on account when preordering. You can also make one time payments/deposits. You can order meals by the week or month. We recommend purchasing by the month to ensure your family doesn’t miss the ordering (7 days in advance) deadlines. A week’s worth of lunch is $4.50 (price per meal) x 5 days (school week) = $22.50+ processing fees* a week or $90 + processing fees* per month (4 weeks). The processing fee for lunch is $2.60 per deposit.
We will only serve meals to students who have pre-ordered and paid for lunch. All families participating in the school’s lunch program regardless of their status (Free, Reduced or Paid) have to use this system to pre-order the meals. All meal orders must be in by 11 pm. There is a 7 day advance order cutoff policy to allow the vendor time for meal planning and preparation.

We proudly honor and celebrate the memory of Angela Scarantino, kindergarten teacher.
“Ms. Scarantino has been at Voyager for 9 years serving our students and supporting our staff with her expertise and knowledge. She has touched the lives of so many over the years and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Ms. Scarantino was passionate about her work with her "little owl" kindergartners and ensured that they were loved and cared for at school. She developed caring personal relationships with her families to support her students academically, socially, and emotionally. Ms. Scarantino stayed abreast of the latest educational research and used innovative approaches in her classroom to ensure that all students learned. She served as the grade level leader and piloted literacy programs to help Voyager further develop our school curriculum for the future. Ms. Scarantino was a strong force when supporting her students and a gentle soul that ensured her little owl class had the opportunity to play, learn, and grow in a supportive and caring classroom. Her influence and impact extend across our entire community. Ms. Scarantino’s students were provided a strong foundation for their future growth and development. We will all miss her deeply.” ~ Eliie Schollmeyer, Managing Director
