IMS is the sole Montessori, trilingual language immersion school in the region. We help children from different nationalities, races, socio-economic means, and cultures become proficient at writing, speaking, and reading in French, Spanish, or Mandarin Chinese. We celebrate diversity, bridge cultures, and embrace bilingualism, and welcome families who embrace these values too.
Yesterday we closed out Spirit Week in the best way…Pajama Day. Cozy clothes, favorite stuffies from home, and all the good Friday energy made for the perfect ending to a fun week. Thank you for all the good vibes and school spirit this week, IMS family!💙
Day four of Spirit Week was all about the future, and Future Self Day did not disappoint.
From chefs, singers, and artists to FBI agents, doctors, dirt bike riders (and yes, a few influencers), our students showed up as their future selves in the best way. The creativity and confidence on display was something special.

Spirit Week continued with Culture Day🌍! Our learners showed up in clothing and colors that reflected a wide range of countries and traditions. We loved seeing the many dimensions and expressions of culture and identity that shape our school. Being part of a global community is something special, and today was a meaningful reminder of that.💙
Day 2 of Spirit Week continues 📚✨
Character Day brought out some incredible creativity, from favorite books to cartoons to video games and everything in between. We saw familiar faces from library shelves, imaginative outfits, and so many reminders of the stories that make childhood fun. It was a day full of personality and a little bit of magic, as these characters came to life across both campuses.
Day 1 of Spirit Week is in the books ⚽🏀.
We saw jerseys, team pride, and some very clear allegiances. We’ll just say our students have some opinions, especially when it comes to local rivalries 😄. Alongside favorite teams, we enjoyed seeing the wide range of athletic uniforms, from taekwondo to ballet to swimming, cheerleading, and more. Loved seeing the many ways our students and staff connect to sports!

As Spring Break comes to a close, we are so excited to kick off Spirit Week!

We can’t wait to see how everyone shows up and brings each theme to life as we count down to our Gala and Giving Day this Saturday.

It is hard to believe we are already heading into the tail end of spring break! We hope everyone has been enjoying a different rhythm this week.

Shoutout to Note in the Pocket (), an incredible nonprofit that brings people and organizations together to address clothing insecurity and ensure young people across the Triangle have access to the clothing they need.
