We are gearing up for Phil's Challenge, our Spring fundraiser that raises essential funds for our school. The event will take place from March 1 to March 15, and our theme is "We are GREAT because WE SERVE". During this period, our students will perform Acts of SERVICE, raise money, and participate in a fun-filled Color Run. We can't wait!! 🦅

Congratulations to ZIAN LANE, Immaculata Class of 2015, on her graduation from Howard University in May 2023. Zian earned a B.A. in Strategic, Legal, and Management Communications with a Public Relations concentration and a minor in Theatre Arts, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.95 GPA.

Zian now lives in New York and works for Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as a Theatre and Literary Agent Assistant. Although working in a very fast paced position, Zian takes time out to attend Broadway plays and also attended the CAA Young New York Party!

As we celebrate Giving Tuesday this year, we invite you to contribute toward the Kaitlyn Lovett Memorial Scholarship Endowment. Immaculata has teamed up with Ms. Lovett's family and the Foundation of the Diocese of Raleigh toward a goal of this endowment reaching $100,000 by August. Your support will play a pivotal role in helping us achieve this. By donating, you will help us provide exceptional educational opportunities to future generations. The Lovett Endowment was created in memory of an Immaculata teacher and provides a scholarship opportunity to an incoming 4th grader at Immaculata Catholic School, who has demonstrated admirable effort and behavior in school, faithfulness, kindness and enthusiasm for Immaculata - just as Ms. Lovett did.

Kaitlyn Lovett was a remarkable young lady who brought such an amazing light and spirit to Immaculata Catholic School, and she will be loved and commemorated always, through this Endowment.

Today, our middle school had guest speakers, Jeff Furman, Urban Ministries Board Member, and ICS alumni Will Furman. They shared information with us about Urban Ministries, the organization that ICS will focus on serving for Giving Tuesday. During the session, our Eagles learned about how to combat homelessness and food insecurities.

Immaculata is a gem in the center of downtown Durham.
