Join the GLOBE Cup Challenge! ️🌎⚽️

Here is your chance to show us which GLOBE region has the biggest soccer (football) fans during the World Cup!

Participate in the GLOBE Cup Challenge by joining your regional GLOBE team and collecting environmental data where the world plays soccer (football). Take observations of air temperature, surface temperature, and/or land cover at your local soccer field, park, schoolyard, or anywhere people play. The Challenge starts the 11th of June.

The U.S. GLOBE Country Coordinator Jennifer Bourgeault recently attended the NH Space Grant meeting to talk about The GLOBE Program. While there, she met Astronaut Alessandra, who is visiting Space Grants around the country!

"Astronaut Alessandra" has been making the rounds to Space Grant offices around the country, and most recently was her visit to NH Space Grant. 👩‍🚀✨🚀

Alessandra's NH adventures included a tour of University of New Hampshire's Science Center (celebrating EOS' 40th year anniversary) and Mount Washington Observatory for the Space Grant meeting.

Learn how GLOBE high school students from Texas, United States are helping with public health research! Students from University Academy in Tyler teamed up with researchers at the University of Texas at Tyler to collect and analyze soil samples, contributing to efforts to build a predictive model of potential hotspots of a bacteria that can cause lung and other infections.
