Greetings Everyone!

We look forward to seeing all of our Eno Valley families tomorrow night during our annual Eaglefest event. Lots of free food, games for everyone, raffle giveaways, free books, Eno Valley paraphernalia for sale, and much more! Gates will open at 5:30 PM. Eagles Fly High! We are super proud of our very own 2nd grade teacher Ms. Shawanna Coleman for becoming the Teacher of the Month by North Carolina Central University and the Velle Cares Foundation. Ms.Coleman has exemplified what it truly means to be an Eagle. Her dedication inside and outside of the classroom shows through her relationship with her scholars and her contribution to education and our school. Please show some love to Ms.Coleman!! To celebrate the National Anti-Bully Awareness month , we have officially kicked off our Unity Week!

Today’s theme was “No Eagles Fly Alone” and our scholars learned about what is bullying and how it can show up in different ways. We’re excited to have these conversations at school and we hope that they are continued at home. Because no eagle should ever fly alone 🫶🏿🫶🏾🫶🏽🫶🏼🫶🏻

Last month our character trait was self-discipline. Our scholars learned that self-discipline is the magic power that makes us unstoppable! This week we celebrated our unstoppable Scholars of the month and Golden Eagle classrooms 🦅

Good afternoon EVE family, it’s a great day to be alive! It’s also a great day to be one of the 13 DPS schools that ranked in the top 20 percent of schools in NC for academic growth. How did we do it? Through our relentless pursuit of excellence! Thank you everyone that came out to our Curriculum Night to learn more about the exciting things happening at our school. Stay tuned for more exciting events happening this year!

This is a reminder that this is the final week to sign your scholar up for Summer School. Summer School dates are July 11-28 from 8:00AM - 2:00 PM. Currently, only scholars that were in grades 1-4 during the previous school year are able to attend. Transportation will be provided if needed. Special Shout Out to our Exceptional Children's Resourse Teacher, Ms. Melanie Williams. Tonight, Ms. Williams was honored tonight as the 2022 Eno Valley Teacher of the Year! Ms. Williams is also our longest tenured teacher at Eno Valley. She does an amazing job with our scholars of all different grade levels each and every day. Thank you Ms. Williams for your tireless hard work and dedication in making sure our scholars reach their full potential!

We are sending a Special Shout Out to Kyler Grooch who was principal of Eno Valley for the Day. Kyler did an amazing job supporting with instruction, bringing a smile to our teachers, and setting the professional example for his peers by dressing the part. We are thankful for Kyler's family and all of our families that participated in our Principal for a day raffle!

Reminder there is no school tomorrow. However, this week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and we are celebrating our teachers all week long. Feel free to send your scholars teacher a gift, and/or just words of encouragement. I think we can all agree that they have earned it!

What can I say...Our 1st Annual Eaglefest was a huge success and I am honored that so many of our families were able to join us. Thank you to every parent volunteer and everyone that supported the event. Here are a few pictures in case you missed it or just want to recapture the night. We will be sharing more pics and video soon!

Eno Valley Heroes!!! We are so grateful for this team. They do so much to make our school great and resolve fires before they can ever fully form. Thank you ladies for all you do!

Unfortunately, due to inclement weather projected for Thursday afternoon, we are postponing EagleFest until April 29. Thank you in advance for all of the support. We look forward to you joining us at the end of the month!

Tomorrow is the last day to order your Eagle Fest shirts before Spring Break. The shirts are only $10. If you have questions, just contact your scholars' teacher.

Eno Valley will be hosting "Tuesday Talks" with Principal Jowers. Please join us for our introductory conversation to inform you of the purpose of the sessions and get your questions answered. Our session tomorrow, March 22 will be from 12:30-1:15 (Eng. & Span.) with remaining sessions 12-12:45 PM. We are also offering sessions specifically catering to our Spanish-speaking families. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at 12:30.
