Welcome! I am happy to help you sort out whatever you need.
Who I work with:
People of artistic temperament. People with ADHD and other executive functioning problems. People with disabilities. People who have experienced trauma.
Prices:
My prices are $30/hour to $6O/hour, depending on the situation.
First Meeting:
I give a free 30 minute consultation. Unless you hire me and then I charge for that 30 minutes, with the rate we agree on.
Scheduling:
I work in 3 hour increments, mostly because that seems to be the amount of time people feel comfortable doing. I accept payment at the end of every work session
Exceptions in Scheduling:
However, with rooms like garages or attics, I can do a full day, if needed.
I will be flexible about my hours to accommodate your needs, since I know not everybody has regular hours.
Assurances:
I will always support your choices. I will never toss anything without your express approval. There will never be a moment of judgement.
More Assurances:
I am kind. Perfection is never the goal. The goal is functional. Can you find your scissors? Can you have people over and feel confident about your space? Those kinds of goals.
Why I Do This Work:
For me, the job is a big fun puzzle. I like to find out what a person's life goals are and then help them clear the space so those goals can happen.
Cancellations:
Things happen. Also, things happen for me, so I understand emergencies. That being said, I know the demon of procrastination and avoidance and how it sabotages your efforts, so if you cancel twice, I will decide you aren't ready and move on with scheduling other clients. When you want to try again, I will be ready
I think that's it! Also, I can do virtual organizing to anywhere in the world. It works, but it takes longer.
