Earth Day is tomorrow, April 22!
At One World Language School, we celebrate our planet by fostering compassionate global citizens who are prepared to make a positive impact on the world.
We are especially proud to have environmental experts leading our organization. Our Board Secretary, Brandy Hardiman, is a Marine Biologist and Educator who has spent twenty years educating the public about climate change and local marine conservation. Her background in global conservation reminds us that language is a powerful bridge toward creating a more connected and understanding world.
Whether our students are learning Chinese, French, German, or Spanish, we use our interactive curriculum to help them build the communication skills needed to collaborate for a sustainable future.
How will you celebrate?

Leveling up!
One World Language School teachers and staff participated in a Technology workshop this past Saturday, led by IT Support Linna. Our team went from "How do I get there?" to "Check this out!" in record time. We had a blast exploring new tech tools today that will help streamline our communication and spark even more creativity in how we teach our students.
Our staff works hard to keep our program's digital game strong. Stay tuned to see these new tools in action!

In addition to our language programs, we at One World Language School are proud to offer a new Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) program for high school students through Rise-Up-Together.
Rise Up Together is our sister non-profit organization dedicated to helping adolescents thrive after hardship by fostering resilience, self-confidence, and a sense of purpose. Through Harvard research-based programs like EmpowerHer, we provide tools, support, and community to help young people rebuild self-esteem, strengthen relationships, and discover their potential—to move beyond challenges and create brighter futures.

🌎BIG NEWS: The Gift of Language!
We have some fabulous news to share! One World Language School has just been awarded a $9,055.44 grant from our amazing friends at The Fabulous Find! 💖
Why this is a game-changer: This generous gift completely replenishes our Scholarship Fund! 🤩 That means we can continue our mission of making sure every child has access to language education, regardless of their financial background.
At One World Language School, we’re proud that 10-15% of our students receive financial assistance every year. Thanks to this grant, we can keep saying "YES!" to: French, Chinese, Spanish and German language and cultural education.
From puppet skits to immersive games, we’re helping kids ages 4–14 in the area find their voice and build global confidence.
A HUGE thank you to the team The Fabulous Find for believing in our mission and supporting our local students! 🥰

Thank you to those who have donated and/or shopped this month! If you haven't been yet, this is the last week (Wed-Sat) to support us and two other great nonprofits
We're closing today (Saturday) at 5 pm and will be closed all day tomorrow due to the weather. This is a perfect time to purge your home for donations!
All profits from your donations and purchases for the rest of the month will go to the Rye Historical Society, One World Language School and Raitt Homestead Farm Museum.
The Rye Historical Society seeks to engage and educate about Rye's history, and to preserve historic collections. One World Language School strives to connect global cultures through language and cultural education. Raitt Homestead Farm Museum preserves a 33-acre Eliot, Maine farm and educates about farming history.
