Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Señora Natalia Corona!

Natalia brings a wonderful mix of culture, energy, and expertise to One World Language School. Born in Mexico, she grew up trilingual in Spanish, German, and English—raised with German as her mother tongue alongside the Spanish of her home country.

Her extensive educational background spans a diverse career teaching students from kindergarten all the way through adulthood. In addition to teaching with us, Natalia is currently a German instructor at the prestigious Goethe Institute in Boston!

🔹 Her Teaching Philosophy: Natalia passionately believes that every child is capable of succeeding in learning a second language when given the right support and environment.

At One World, we believe in the power of immersive storytelling! Check out this snapshot of our wonderful new teacher,Sharon, on her first week! 🌟

Sharon is captivating her young students with puppets to introduce the central characters of this year’s storyline: The Boulanger Family. 🌍✈️

By giving the family a face (and a voice!), Sharon is creating an engaging, memorable context for students to begin speaking and understanding their new language right away. Just look at those focused faces! 😍

This year, the Boulanger family will take us on a trip around the world, meeting animals and learning languages as they go! We can’t wait for the adventure to unfold.

Exciting News! Welcome Our New French Teacher, Sharon Taylor! 🥖✨

As we prepare for a wonderful new academic year, we are thrilled to introduce a fantastic addition to our instructional team—please join us in giving a warm welcome to Sharon Taylor!

Sharon brings a deep love for the French language, hands-on teaching experience, and a strong background in child development. Having lived abroad in Paris, she is excited to bring authentic, firsthand cultural experiences into our classrooms! 🥐🎨

🎓 A Little About Sharon:

Currently pursuing her Accelerated Master of Education degree at UNH (where she earned her B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies with a minor in French).

Vice President of the UNH French Club, where she organized cultural events and represented the organization with the French Consul General of New England.

Skilled at tailoring engaging, creative lessons for students of all age groups!

🤝 A Smooth, Collaborative Transition: We know how much your children love and value Guillermo! To ensure complete continuity and a smooth transition, Guillermo will be serving as Sharon’s mentor this fall. They will start the school year co-teaching together, allowing Sharon to get to know your kids individually while keeping the classroom environment they already know and love.

✨ Teacher Spotlight: Meet Guillermo Boxo Cucurny! ✨

Join us in celebrating Guillermo, an integral member of our team serving as a French and Spanish mentor teacher!

Guillermo brings a unique global perspective and deep passion for education to One World Language School. A native Spanish speaker, he spent 25 years living in Montreal, where he taught in French. He is completely bilingual in French and Spanish, and fluent in English!

Over his 15-year career prior to joining us, Guillermo taught history, civics, and geography. Now in his sixth year with One World, he draws on that rich background to teach our students not just language, but the vibrant cultures of both Spain and Montreal.

✨ Building Connections in Spanish: Esther’s First Week with the Explorers! ✨

The first week of classes was a huge success, and we are so excited to highlight Esther’s classroom in action! 🎓🌎

Esther brought interactive, communicative learning to life with our Explorer group, guiding them through more advanced introductions to help them get to know each other on a deeper level. Using a fun ¿Qué Prefieres? ("Would You Rather?") activity, students worked on:

🔹 Expressing Preferences: Using fuller Spanish sentences to share their personal likes and choices. 🔹 Active Movement & Community: Walking to different sides of the room based on their answers, making language practice physical and engaging. 🔹 Peer Connection: Learning about their classmates' interests while building conversational confidence.

We love seeing our older learners actively engaging with the target language from day one. Huge thanks to Esther for creating such a welcoming, dynamic learning environment! 👏💙

Welcome Our New Chinese Teacher, Yu-Ying Chen (Arin)! ✨

We have some exciting news to share as we look ahead to the new school year! Please join us in officially welcoming Yu-Ying Chen (Arin) to the One World team as our new Chinese teacher! 🏮

Yu-Ying brings an incredible blend of education, real-world experience, and passion for working with kids:

🎓 Educational Background: Holds a B.A. in Chinese from National Changhua University of Education in Taiwan, a Master’s in Mass Communication (NTNU), and a Master’s in Ecology & Environmental Sciences (UMaine).
🔬 Diverse Background: She has worked as a research scientist at both Harvard University and the University of Maine, as well as a journalist and editor in Taiwan! ❤️ Heart for Teaching: Yu-Ying has extensive experience tutoring Chinese and is a proud mother of two young children, giving her a deep, personal understanding of how kids learn and grow.

✨ Teacher Spotlight: Meet Dan Levin! ✨

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our Spanish Teacher, Dan Levin!

Dan joins One World Language School after living and working in Madrid, Spain, where he served as an English Language Teacher across two public elementary schools. During his time abroad, he gained valuable hands-on experience:
🔹 Designing interactive language lessons
🔹 Running small group activities
🔹 Supporting diverse proficiency levels
🔹 Fostering student confidence in real-world communication

Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Spanish from the University of New Hampshire. To kick off his time with us, he has been training with our mentor teacher, Esther, in New Castle and will continue to draw on her rich expertise throughout the year to support his classes!
