The UNH Child Study and Development Center has part time preschool openings available beginning in August. This program operates from 9:00-4:00 and families may choose either M/W/F or T/TH enrollment. Spaces are limited.

Congrats HDFS graduates!

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) shares that “children develop creativity, social skills, and fine motor skills through open-ended art projects where they can make choices, use their imaginations, and create with their hands.” Children in the Infant Room were offered paint on our light table, combining two of the languages we have been exploring with them.

During Week of the Young Child, I am reminded of the small things that happen within the program that make it such a special place for children and college students. The play based experiences that offer multiple entry points for children's learning and the expertise of mentor teachers as they guide college student experiences is such a gift that lab schools provide.

The UNH Panhellenic group led by President, Ava Vieira created multiple opportunities for Sorority Life to support the Child Study and Development Center (CSDC) by collecting diapers and wipes for families. Their effort included campus donation boxes located outside the Fraternity and Sorority Life office in the MUB, as well as at the CSDC, along with fundraising events and community activities where all proceeds and collected items came directly toward purchasing diapers and wipes for CSDC families! An outstanding effort with a tremendous turnout! Thank you!
