For the boys, our guys didn't set any meet records but our guys made great improvements over last year. Last year, we finished next to last with only seven points. This year our guys finished third with 49 points. Well done guys!

Some records were broken at the conference championship! Sophie beat her own record in the mile. The new record stands at 5:48.81. Aisha Helms of Brogden beat Simi's previous record in the 200m dash. Rogers-Herr's girls 4x200 relay set a new record. DSA 4x400 girls relay set a new record of 4:31.22 bettering their old mark of 4:34.2!

Durham Public Schools MS Championship- Complete Results

Three consecutive years of undefeated girls middle school track and field. Girls conference champions again. Hard to find anything these girls haven't done but win. Today, they wound up the middle school conference championship with 142 points, to Rogers Herr's 116, Brogden's 47, Shepard's 26, Lakewood's 24, Carrington's 16, Lowes Grove's 7 and Githens' 3. By every measure, an outstanding girls team. The boys showed real improvement finishing third in the conference with 49 points. Last year, the boys only scored 7 points. Well done DSA Middle School Track and Field!

Congratulations DSA High School at the NC indoor track and field 1A and 2A state championships! Women's 4x400 relay - Gold, Simi Gbadegesin, Destiny Stevons, Lydia Gamble and Hana Radcliffe! Lydia Gamble women's 500 m - Silver! Hana Radcliffe, bronze in the women's 1000 and 1600! Simi Gbadegesin, fourth place 500 meters! Lydia Gamble sixth place women's 300 meters. Destiny Stevons, women's 1000 meters. DSA women's team, third overall. Well done ladies.
