This HOT weekend is a perfect introduction for this week’s theme: Summer weather and the 4th of July! Did you know July was named by Marc Antony in honor of Julius Caesar?

Also last week we enjoyed a bountiful crop of cucumbers from our very own kitchen garden - that we all pitched in to plant, water, and harvest!

Anyway, enjoy these precious memories from last week and make it a cool week ahead!

We hope that our graduates and families enjoyed the ceremony, and we appreciate all who came. Here are some remembrances from the event and from the rest of last week.

Some amazing facts about wild animals: Did you know that baby sharks are called pups and a mother shark can have anywhere between 1 and 100 pups at a time? The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. They can reach a top speed of around 113 km per hour!

We begin June with the theme of Gardening and Farming. Long ago, gardens were essential to life. Early people were able to create towns and villages once they learned to plant their food, rather than moving from area to area gathering what they could find to eat. We, in the modern age, do not have to move around in search of food, and we are thankful to all the farmers who make it happen!

Meanwhile, enjoy these moments from last week, and have a wonderful week ahead.

Last week we made fruit and vegetable salads as we learned about fruits and vegetables. This week we will discover the worlds of different bugs and insects. Did you know that Fruit flies were the first living creatures to be sent into space?

But before we get into the topic of insects, here are some cherished memories from last week. Enjoy and keep cool in this heat!
