Learning Tots Academy is now Beacon Learning Academy

As of Monday, July 8, 2019, Learning Tots Academy will become Beacon Learning Academy under new ownership and management.

This HOT weekend is a perfect introduction for this week’s theme: Summer weather and the 4th of July! Did you know July was named by Marc Antony in honor of Julius Caesar?

Also last week we enjoyed a bountiful crop of cucumbers from our very own kitchen garden - that we all pitched in to plant, water, and harvest!

Anyway, enjoy these precious memories from last week and make it a cool week ahead!

Fantastic graduation ceremony today at Learning Tots Academy. Congratulations to the class of 2019 and their parents on the occasion - the first of many more such ceremonies to come in their lives.

Some amazing facts about wild animals: Did you know that baby sharks are called pups and a mother shark can have anywhere between 1 and 100 pups at a time? The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. They can reach a top speed of around 113 km per hour!

We will learn all this and more next week!

Dads, don't forget to drop in for some breakfast on Friday between 7:00 and 9:30.

We begin June with the theme of Gardening and Farming. Long ago, gardens were essential to life. Early people were able to create towns and villages once they learned to plant their food, rather than moving from area to area gathering what they could find to eat. We, in the modern age, do not have to move around in search of food, and we are thankful to all the farmers who make it happen!

Last week we made fruit and vegetable salads as we learned about fruits and vegetables. This week we will discover the worlds of different bugs and insects. Did you know that Fruit flies were the first living creatures to be sent into space?
