Thanks to everyone who came by to help plan for the semester. For the rest of you, here is the list of meeting dates and what we'll be cooking on those days. If you really want us to cook something, let us know and we may make it a side dish or make two dishes instead of one:

February 6 – Tofu with pork stuffing cooked with tomato (Đậu phụ nhồi thịt om cà chua)
February 13 – Vermicelli and sour crab soup (Bún riêu cua)
February 20 – Stuffed squid/pork (for the non squid lovers) in tamarind sauce (Mực nhồi sốt me/Thịt heo xào me)
February 27 – Rice, Pork Chops, and such (Cơm sườn đặc biệt)
March 19 – Vietnamese Crepes (Bánh xèo)
March 26 – Eggplants with pork, tomatoes and tofu (Cà tím với thịt heo xào cà chua)
April 2 - Beef stuffed grape (or some alternative) leaves (Thịt bò lá nho)
April 9 – Vietnamese Beef Stew (Bò kho)
April 16 – Stir fried chicken with mushrooms (Gà xào hành nấm)
April 20 – Phở!!!!!!

HAPPY VIETNAMESE NEW YEAR!!!!! 2012 Year of the DRAGON!!!

Hey guys,

we will no longer be going to the Tet celebration on Saturday. Instead, we will go on Sunday. The reason is the Saturday portion of the two-day event is mainly music and food, whereas the Sunday portion will have all sorts of games, entertainment, food, etc. Plus, there will be people from NC State VSA there.

Also, a few people have contacted me about going to the event. I just want to let the rest of you know that the deadline to let me know is Saturday morning (by 11:59:59 am). I need to know how many people are going to determine how many cars we're going to need.

In addition to that, if you plan on going to the NC State Asia Nite performance, you need to let me know by 5pm tomorrow (Thursday). Thanks for your cooperation and feel free to email me ([email protected]) if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

Here's a flyer for the Wheels of Love for Vietnam fundraiser. If you can't read the flyer (don't worry, you're not alone!) just follow the link and it'll tell you more about the organization (yes, it's in English).

REMINDER!! We will be having Pho Night on Friday (11/2) in Keohane 4A at 6 pm(same place as our meetings). NC State and UNC VSA will also be there! So come by, pick up a bowl of pho, and meet some new people! On a side note, a NC State senior will be selling raffle tickets for $3 to raise money for Wheels of Love for Vietnam. If you want more information, she will be at Pho Night. Hope to see all of you there!

Hey everyone, this is just a reminder that our last meeting of the semester will be on Friday, December 2nd. We will be having made-from-scratch pho! Not only that, but members from UNC and NC State VSA will be there! If you plan on going, please email co-president Kevin Le ([email protected]) by November 30th so that he knows how many people to cook for. Thanks and hope to see all of you there!

Thanks for those who were able to attend the dinner hosted by KPL =) I hope it was delicious and that everyone learned a little Vietnamese =D
