Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, students who did not score proficient on their end-of-year state test may take part in a second test administration. This retest gives students another chance to show what they know and demonstrate their growth!
For students to participate in the retest, we need permission from a parent or legal guardian. You can opt in for your student by visiting the link on our school’s website, or by signing and returning the letter sent home with your child by Friday, May 29, 2026.

Shout out to Jasmine Adams and Rachel Hagerman Moran for their leadership and for creating such a meaningful experience for our students!
Members of the Rogers-Herr National Junior Honor Society recently participated in their 2nd-semester service project at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Our students worked together to sort, weigh, and package sweet potatoes to support families right here in our community.
Through their teamwork and dedication, they packaged an incredible 9,750 pounds of sweet potatoes, helping provide over 8,000 meals to those in need. What an impact!
After their hard work, students enjoyed lunch at Southpoint and had the opportunity to celebrate classmates whose artwork was on display.
We are so proud of our students for serving with purpose and grateful to Ms. Adams and Ms. Moran for leading the way. 💙
