Today, our Director, William A. Darity Jr., will give the keynote at the 2026 Conference on Discrimination in the 21st Century at the University of Chicago.
Hosted by the Becker Friedman Institute for Economics, the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation, this conference will bring together researchers from different fields to discuss crucial themes around discrimination.

Sarah Gaither co-authored a new study exploring how demographic forms can influence identity and feelings of inclusion.
The research shows that these forms can shape how individuals understand themselves and their relationship to institutions, particularly for marginalized communities.

William Darity Jr. co-authored a new article in The BMJ outlining a detailed plan for reparations for Black Americans.
The proposal focuses on closing the racial wealth gap through direct monetary payments and highlights how doing so could improve long-term health outcomes.
