Reps from CANDOR shared their torchlight curriculum with the Independence Academy classroom. They taught and talked about Ableism and led a watercolor painting activity.

Students completed the Watercolor painting as an example of using joy as a form of resistance. Thank you, CANDOR!

One of our students completed his Eagle Scout project and included Hope Creek Academy as the recipient. He donated a flag pole, installed it, and did the brick work around it. A few days ago, the students and staff all gathered round it and the student told us his Eagle Scout was the culmination of ten years of hard work. Thank you, Alex, for this beautiful gift, and for being a magnificent role model to those around you.

Recently, students in grades 6th-12th attended Hope Creek Academy’s prom. High School teacher, Mr. White, created beautiful photographs to remember the occasion. It is so fun to see the different styles and personalities shine on prom night.
