Alderman Music Studio Summer Session begins the week of June 13. I will be adding new students to the studio as time allows. Please refer to the schedule attached as the summer lessons are less consistent as to days and times that I am available.

Alderman Music Studio - Summer 2022 Available Lesson Times:

Week 1: June 13 - 17
Week 2: June 20-23
Week 3: June 27-28 9:30 am; 3:00 pm or later;
June 29 5:00 or later;
June 2 Anytime between 12:00 - 5:00 pm

July
Week 4: July 5-6 Anytime
Week 5: July 7-10 11:00 am; 5:00 pm or later
Week 6: July 11-14 11:00 am; 5:00 pm or later
Week 7: July 18-22 11:00 am; 5:00 pm or later
Week 8: July 25/26 10:00 or 11:00 am; 6:00 pm or later
Week 9 August 3-7 Anytime
Week 10 August 8-11 Anytime
Week 11 August 16-19 TBA

There may be other lesson opportunities but these are times I am sure are available.

The Spring Session has ended with a bang... the DMTA Performance Festival was a great success and our first in person competition in over 2 year. 8 of my students performed - scoring 3 first places, 1 2nd place and 1 honorable mention... 7 Gold and 1 Silver rating in total as well... So proud of my young singers! Then we had our Spring is for Singing Recital where students performed, arts songs, spirituals, folk songs and arias for the first half. The 2nd half of the program was nearly all a tribute to the great, recently passed, Stephen Sondheim. If you know his music, you know that students had to work really hard to learn and perform these selections! What terrific if long weekend!

Congratulations to all my students who have participated in the 3 levels of NATs auditions this year! For many this was their very first time singing for comments and scores and I am very proud of all them.

Particular shout out to Sydney Patterson who placed 3rd in her room at NATs Mid-Atlantic Region this month and to Elena Holder who continues her path of singing excellence under the guidance of Dr. Callahan at UNC-Chapel Hill. Elena will be advancing to the first round of Nats National auditions.
