When you have a baby, you’ll spend a lot of time thinking and talking about their dirty diapers!
While it certainly isn’t the cutest thing your baby does, it’s one of the best ways they communicate with us about how they are doing! The varying colors, consistencies, and frequencies of their poops give us so much insight.

Did you know you could batch prep formula for 24hrs? 🍼🍼🍼
Batch prepping is the key to saving you time! ⏱️ And your sanity for those middle of the night feeds 😂
Remember:
➡️ ALWAYS read the formula instructions
➡️ know how much you want to make and how many scoops of formula you need BEFORE you start. Account for the volume increase once you add in the powder! - for example, I poured in 18oz of water because this baby is currently eating about 20oz per day.
➡️ boiling the water and mixing in the formula at no less than 158 degrees Fahrenheit kills potential bacteria in the formula; this is recommended for newborns but speak with your provider if you have any questions.
➡️ store it in the fridge for up to 24hrs
‼️ Check to make sure the mixing pitcher is safe for use with boiled water ‼️

Do you need to swaddle? It’s truly a personal choice. What you should know is that it is a safe option to help soothe your baby. 👶🌙✨
Do you have a favorite swaddle?
Swaddles can vary in price and you may not know which one would work best for you, I encourage families to purchase used or borrow various swaddle types to determine your preference.

This past week has been my hardest. On the night of March 2nd, my family had to say goodbye to our beloved Maggie. She had a battle with Chronic Kidney Disease for the past year, and made it to 17-20 years old.
Maggie was my comfort and best friend. She was always there to snuggle, be held, and hold on to you, too. She was the inspiration for my logo. She always made me feel calm and safe, which I try to do for families.
I miss her deeply and hope she’s basking in the sun somewhere. Thank you to my clients who have been so understanding and kind during this time.
