지난학기부터 직접 종이로 등록원서를 내지 않아도 간편하게 등록할 수 있도록 구글폼을 만들어서 등록을 진행했는데, 이번 학기도 동일하게 인터넷으로 접수가 가능합니다. Zelle 로 등록비를 받고 있습니다. 체크로 주셔도 되고, Zelle을 이용하셔도 되고, 편한 방법으로 등록해주세요.

새로운 해가 시작되면 우리가 늘 기다리는 명절이 있습니다.

바로 설날인데요, 아침에 일어나서 부모님께 세배를 하고 세뱃돈을 받고 기뻐했던 그 추억도 있고, 온 가족 모두 모여 떡국을 먹으며 도란도란 이야기를 나누는 추억도 있죠.

우리 한국학교에서도 설날을 맞아 설날행사를 열었답니다. 각 반에 모여 설날에는 어떤 것들을 먹고, 하고, 어떤 놀이를 하는지에 대해 배우고, 영상을 봤습니다. 그리고 각자 딱지대회에 참여할 자기만의 딱지를 만들고 꾸미기도 했습니다. 다같이 모여 각반 선생님께 세배를 하고, 작지만 소중한 세뱃돈도 받았습니다. 그리고 각 반별로 딱지 대항전이 열렸습니다. 각자 친구들의 딱지를 넘기려고 찰싹찰싹 신나게 딱지를 내려치는 모습이 보이시죠? 딱지놀이까지 끝나고 난 후 다같이 식당에 모여서 떡국을 나눠먹었습니다. 떡국에 밥까지 말아먹는 우리 친구들의 모습을 보며 떡국을 만들어주신 우리 선생님들 얼굴에도 미소가 가득했답니다!

When the new year begins, there’s always a holiday we eagerly anticipate.

That’s Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year). It’s a time filled with cherished memories, like waking up early to bow to our parents, receiving New Year’s money, and feeling joyful. We also remember gathering with the whole family to share tteokguk (rice cake soup) and exchanging warm conversations.

At our Korean school, we also held a Seollal event to celebrate this special day.

Each class learned about the traditions of Seollal, including the foods, activities, and games enjoyed during the holiday, and watched videos about them. Then, everyone got to create and decorate their very own Ttakji (a traditional Korean game piece) to prepare for the Ttakji Tournament.

Together, we gathered to bow to our teachers as a class and received small but meaningful New Year’s money.

Then, the Ttakji Tournament began! You could see everyone enthusiastically slapping their ttakji onto the ground, trying to flip their friends’ pieces with excitement.

After the games, we all gathered in the cafeteria to enjoy Tteokguk together. Watching our friends mix rice into their tteokguk and eat with delight, you couldn’t help but notice the smiles on the faces of the teachers who had lovingly prepared the meal for everyone.

2024년 가을학기가 끝날 쯤 있었던 성탄절, 기쁨을 주변의 양로원에 계시는 어르신들께 나눌 수 있는 기회가 생겼습니다. 그래서 특별하게 3교시에 100켤레의 양말을 담을 하얀 종이 봉투 위에 기쁨을 나눌 수 있는 문구들을 쓰는 활동을 했습니다.

우리 선생님들도 감탄하는 아주 멋진 그림을 그려온 친구도 있었고, 귀여운 3~4세 반 친구들의 추상적인 그림에 미소도 지었습니다.

크리스마스 주를 앞둔 가을학기 종업식 때는 쿠키에 아이싱을 올려 꾸미기도 하고, 선생님들께서 맛있게 준비해주신 떡꼬치와 어묵을 먹으며 한 학기동안 열심히 한글공부를 한 우리 친구들과 즐거운 시간을 가지기도 했답니다! 겨울 방학이 건강하게 지내고 1월 17일에 다시 만나요!!!!

Toward the end of the 2024 fall semester, we had the opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with the elderly residents of a local nursing home. On this special day, during the third period, we decorated 100 white paper bags by writing joyful messages on them.

Some students impressed even the teachers with their amazing drawings, while the adorable abstract artwork from the 3-4 year-olds brought smiles to our faces.

During the fall semester closing ceremony, held just before Christmas week, we had a wonderful time decorating Christmas cookies.

We also enjoyed delicious treats like Ttokggochi (rice cake skewers) and fish cakes soup prepared by our teachers.

It was a delightful way to celebrate all the hard work our students put into learning Hangul (Korean) throughout the semester!

Stay healthy during the winter break, and we'll see you again on January 17th!

10월 9일은 세종대왕님께서 창제하여 반포한 것을 기념하는 한글날 입니다.
한글날을 맞아 우리 한마음 민족 성경한국학교에서도 다양한 붓글씨 쓰기 활동을 하였습니다.

1학년 반부터 6학년 반까지는 훈민정음 헤례본을 따라 쓰는 활동을 하였습니다.
중학교 학생들이 있는 반에서는 4명이서 협동하여 하나의 시를 함께 쓰는 활동을 하였습니다.

한글이 왜 과학적인 문자인지 함께 이야기를 나누며, 우리가 배우는 한글의 소중함을 느낄 수 있는 날이었습니다. 특히 한 자 한 자 공들여 쓰는 아이들의 모습이 빛나는 날이었습니다.


October 9th is Hangul Day, commemorating the creation and proclamation of Hangul by King Sejong the Great.

In celebration of Hangul Day, students at our Hanmaeum Korean School participated in calligraphy activities.

Students from 1st to 6th grade engaged in an activity where they copied sections from the Hunminjeongeum Haerye (the explanation and example text of the original Hangul script).
In the class with middle school students, groups of four collaborated to write a single poem together.

It was a day to reflect on the scientific mechanism of Hangul and to appreciate the preciousness of the language we are learning.

The students' dedication and focus as they carefully wrote each character made this day shine even brighter.

안녕하세요! 10월 20일 주일에 소중하고 귀한 우리 발렌티어 선생님들의 오리엔테이션이 있었습니다.

한국학교 선생님들을 도와주는 아주 소중한 우리의 발렌티어 선생님들 한 분 한 분이 얼마나 멋지고 예쁘던지.

발렌티어 선생님들은 9학년부터 지원할 수 있는데요,

한국학교 아이들의 배움을 더욱 더 효과적으로 도와주는 없어서는 안 될 존재들입니다.

(혹시 고민만 하고 있는 친구들이 있다면 당장 오세요!!! 격하게 환영해 드립니다!!!!^^)

한국어를 이해하기 어려운 친구들을 위해서는 영어로 통역을 해주고,

작은 손길들이 많이 필요한 킨더반과 유아반에서는 아이들 케어도 해주고,

매주 맛있는 간식도 각 반으로 전달해주시는 발렌티어 선생님들 최고!!!

모두 10명의 발렌티어 선생님들이 참석을 했고, 그 중에서는 새로운 발렌티어 선생님이 3분이나 새로 합류했어요! (얏호!)

이번 년도의 발렌티어 리더로는 아현 선생님이, 부리더로는 은혜 선생님이 섬겨주시기로 했답니다.

오리엔테이션에서 게임 신나게 하여 한국 역사 공부한 것은 덤.


Hello! On Sunday, October 20th, we had an orientation for our valuable and precious volunteer teachers.

Each one of our amazing volunteer teachers, who assist the Korean school teachers, was truly wonderful and beautiful. Volunteers can apply starting from 9th grade, and they are indispensable in helping the Korean school students learn more effectively.

(If anyone is still hesitating, come join us right away!!! We will warmly welcome you!!!! ^^)

For students who find it difficult to understand Korean, they provide English interpretation.

In the kindergarten and preschool classes, where many small hands are needed, they also help care for the children.

Plus, they deliver delicious snacks to each class every week. Our volunteer teachers are the best!!!

A total of 10 volunteer teachers attended, including three new members who joined us! (Yay!)

This year, Ahyeon will be serving as the volunteer leader, and Grace as the 2nd leader.

We also had a blast trivia at the orientation, and studying a bit of Korean history was a bonus.

안녕하세요. 9월 17일은 한국의 고유한 명절 '추석'이었습니다.

추석을 맞아 각 반에서 추석 관련 활동들을 진행했습니다.

추석이 어떤 날인지, 추석에는 무엇을 먹는지, 입는지, 하는지 등 한국의 문화에 대해 배웠습니다.

온 가족이 모이면 빠질 수 없는 윷놀이를 한 반도 있는데요!

우리 한마음 민족성경 한국학교의 최고 학년인 7-8학년 무궁화반과 4학년 오얏꽃반이 함께 모여 즐거운 윷놀이를 했답니다!

모두 그 즐거운 현장으로 가보실까요?

도개걸윷모. 처음에는 몇 칸을 가야하는지 몰라 모두들 윷을 던지고 윷놀이 룰이 적힌 화이트보드만 한참 봐야했는데요... 윷놀이가 끝날때쯤 모두들 도움 없이 몇칸을 가야하는지 능숙하게 윷놀이를 하던 아이들의 모습이 얼마나 귀엽고 멋지던지요!

한 방을 노리며 열심히 말 3개를 얹어서 가던 팀이 잡히고 잡히고 잡혀서 결국 무엇이든 성실히 하나씩 해야한다는 인생의 참맛을 깨달으며 윷놀이를 마쳤답니다.

Hello! September 17th was Chuseok, a traditional Korean holiday.

To celebrate Chuseok, each class participated in activities related to the holiday. The students learned about what Chuseok is, what people eat, wear, and do during this special time, gaining insights into Korean culture. Some classes even played *Yutnori*, a traditional game that's a must when families gather together!

The highest grades in our Korean School, the 7th-8th grade Mugunghwa class and the 4th-grade Oiatkkot class, came together for a fun time playing Yutnori!

Shall we take a look at those joyful moments?

At first, no one was quite sure how many spaces to move after throwing the yut sticks, so everyone had to spend a while checking the rules written on the whiteboard. But by the end of the game, the students had mastered the rules and knew exactly how many spaces to move without any help—they looked so adorable and impressive!

One team, determined to make a big move, stacked three markers together, only to have them all captured by the other team. They ended up learning an important life lesson: sometimes, you just have to take things step by step!

한마음 민족성경 한국학교는 지난 9월 7일 금요일 2024-2025학년도 가을학기를 시작했습니다.

이번 학기부터 새로 개설된 3-4세부터 8학년까지, 총 75명의 학생들이 등록했고, 앞으로 13주 동안 열한개의 반으로 나뉘어 매주 금요일 저녁 5시 30분부터 8시30분까지 수업을 하게됩니다. 이번 학기에도 유스그룹에 속한 12명의 발렌티어들이 보조교사로 수업을 돕고있습니다.

학생들은 새 교과서를 배부받고 반별활동을 마친 뒤, 친교실에 모여 김밥만들기 활동을 하고 떡볶기를 함께 먹었습니다.

이번 학기에 학생들은 한글공부와 더불어 성경속 인물을 공부하는 성경수업 그리고, 미술반, 명화그리기반, 동시반, 종이접기반 중 각자 선택한 특별활동반에서 다양한 체험학습을 하게됩니다.

2022-2023학년도 봄학기 한마음 민족성경 한국학교 등록안내 및 개학 안내드립니다.

봄학기 개학이 2월 10일 금요일로 다가왔습니다. 아직 등록을 마치지 못한 가정에서는 첨부해 드리는 등록원서를 작성하셔서 [email protected] 로 이메일 보내주시거나 개학 당일 가지고 오시면 됩니다. 1월 말까지 등록여부를 알려주시면 가정당 $10 할인해드립니다.

수업은 매주 금요일 5시30분부터 8시 30분까지 진행합니다. 성경수업(20분)과 한글수업(2교시, 각 45분) 후, 학생들이 선택한 특별활동수업(45분)을 하게됩니다. 자세한 사항은 첨부해드리는 학사일정을 참고하세요.

우리 학교는 재미한국학교 협의회 소속학교로서 표준교육과정을 따라, 재외동포 교육진흥재단과 교육과학기술부에서 제공하는 교과서로 수업합니다. 5학년 이상의 학생들은 매년 봄 한국어능력시험을 통해 한국어 실력향상 정도를 확인하고 있습니다.

또한 한마음 민족성경 한국학교를 졸업한 9학년이상 고등학생들은 보조교사로 섬길 수 있습니다. 매주 3.5시간의 봉사시간을 인정하고 있으며, 매년 학생 개개인의 봉사시간을 취합하여 대통령봉사상을 신청할 수 있도록 도와주고 있습니다. 현재 10명정도의 학생들이 보조교사로 활동하고 있으며, 작년 가을 2명의 시니어학생이 대통령 봉사상을 받았습니다.

이번 학기도 건강하고 알찬 학교생활이 되도록 열심히 준비하고 있습니다. 2월 10일에 뵙겠습니다.

Thank you to the parents who always support us with prayers.

This email is to inform you about the registration information and schedule for the spring semester of 2022-2023.

The spring semester begins on Friday, February 10th. For families who have not yet completed registration, please fill out the attached registration form and email it to [email protected] or bring it with you on the first day of school. Early registration price is available until the last day of January($10 off per family).

Classes are held every Friday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. Students have the Bible class (20 minutes) and the Hangul classes (2 periods, 45 minutes each), after that there is a special activity class (45 minutes) of their choice. Please refer to the attached academic calendar for details.

Our school is affiliated with the NAKS(National Association for Korean Schools), and follows the standard curriculum and uses textbooks provided by the Overseas Korean Education Foundation and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Students in 5th grade and above take the NKT every spring to check their level of improvement in Korean.

All of the teachers and volunteers are working hard to prepare for another successful school year. If you need help for registration and have any questions or concerns please contact school anytime. See you on February 10th.
