💛Today feels extra meaningful to me. 💛
It’s International Women’s Day and also the 5-year anniversary of starting my small sleep coaching business, Feliz Familyz Sleep. And during Women’s History Month, it feels like the perfect moment to pause and reflect on why this work matters so much to me.
When I started this business, my hope was simple:
to create a space where mothers feel supported, understood, and never judged while navigating one of the most exhausting seasons of life—sleep deprivation and early parenting.
Over the years, this work has become so much more than helping babies sleep.
It’s about supporting women’s mental health while guiding them as they help their babies learn the skills for independent sleep. Because when a baby sleeps better, the whole family feels it—but especially mom.
And I know that for many mothers, the process of teaching sleep skills can feel overwhelming when you’re also navigating anxiety, exhaustion, identity shifts, or the emotional weight that can come with motherhood.
That’s why it matters so much to me to meet mothers where they are—
to acknowledge their struggles, support their mental health, and walk beside them as they guide their babies toward better sleep.
Today, on International Women’s Day, I’m also thinking about the power of women supporting and empowering other women. So much of what makes this work meaningful is the community of mothers who trust me to support them during such a vulnerable season.
To every mother reading this:
You are doing so much more than you think.
Even on the tired days.
Even on the hard nights.
You are strong, capable, and deeply important.
I’m so grateful to spend the last five years supporting women and their families—and I’m honored to keep doing this work. 💛
Happy International Women’s Day.
