Come out and enjoy a Spring Movie Night with the Lyons Farm Elementary community as we watch Sing 2 on Friday, May 8th! Doors will open at 6:15 pm, with the movie beginning at 6:30 pm. We’ll also include a special teacher appreciation activity during the evening.

The event will take place in the Lyons Farm gym. Feel free to bring blankets and chairs to get comfortable (there will also be some cafeteria table seating available in the back). Please wait until doors open before entering the gym so we can finish setup and accommodate after-school students who are still awaiting pickup.

☀️ 2nd Annual Solar Festival at Lyons Farm – Save the Date!

Lyons Farm is hosting the 2nd Annual Solar Festival on Saturday, April 25. This is a celebration of clean energy, creativity, and student leadership, with plenty for kids and adults to explore together.

What to expect:
🎶 Live music, spoken word, and giant puppets
🔬 Hands-on solar demonstrations and interactive exhibits
🧪 Student solar projects and competitions (4th–12th grade)
🎨 Arts activities like the “Solar for All” station
⚡ Local solar companies sharing info and answering questions
🎭 “The Good Fire” interactive performance + discussion
🎟️ Free raffle with solar-themed prizes

It’s a great chance for kids to see science in action, and for families to learn more about how solar energy is shaping North Carolina’s future.

If your student is interested in participating in a project or competition, keep an eye out for more details from the school.

We’re excited to host our Spring Book Fair and need your help to make it a success! Volunteers are needed to assist with setup, helping students find books, managing checkout, and packing up at the end of the event.
