A power line is down in the area of the northwest gate at Spend Life Wisely Stadium, near the Shearer Hall parking lot.
OG&E has assessed the lines and have determined that they are not electrified and pose no harm to students. The area will remain coned until OG&E has time to remove the wires.
For your safety, please avoid the area and do not approach or touch the downed power line. Please use an alternate route until the area is cleared.
We will provide additional updates as they become available.

The university will be open tomorrow, August 4. Southeastern is on track to open for the fall semester as scheduled following a limited cyber incident.
Thanks to the quick response of our IT and security teams, the issue was isolated to a small number of departments and did not impact core teaching infrastructure or student-facing systems. We continue to make excellent progress restoring affected services and look forward to welcoming students back to campus as planned.
We appreciate the patience and support of our campus community and will share updates as needed.
