The course is just north of Durango under the red cliffs of the Animas Valley in the Wilderness Classroom- a cozy wall tent complete with a wood burning stove. 10 minutes from downtown Durango, the Wilderness Classroom is the perfect blend of access to a backcountry environment and a cozy space conducive for learning. April WFR and WFA courses will be held in the Wilderness Classroom, a large wall tent complete with a wood burning stove below the Red Cliffs in the Animas River Valley. A Hybrid Wilderness First Responder course taught by women, for ALL women! This course is part of Desert Mountain Medicine’s Woman Wilderness Medicine Program, hosted by Creeks to Peaks Rescue and Slaydies!

WWMP is about women empowering each other to go higher and further in the outdoors while feeling safer and more confident. We are very excited to be partnering with Slaydies for this course! I am no longer in the 90s and am excited to introduce Creeks to Peaks into the modern social media world! Offering Wilderness First Responder and Wilderness First Aid courses to the Southwest Colorado area.
