Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Trista
What makes her classroom a special
place?
“I strive to create a space where
students feel comfortable trying,
asking questions, and learning by
doing. I use a lot of visual, hands-
on math, and I also lead a culinary
club, giving students another way to
build practical skills and confidence.
I want my classroom to feel calm,
welcoming, and engaging.”
We’re so grateful for the care,
creativity, and dedication Ms. Trista
brings to our community every day.

Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Matt
“My classroom is a special place
because of my students’ energy
and their care for one another.”
Mr. Matt’s classroom is powered
by curiosity, connection, and
kindness. The positive energy his
students bring each day—along
with the way they support and
look out for one another—creates
a learning environment that feels
both joyful and connected.

Learning came to life in the mountains
this week as our 3rd and 4th graders
snowshoed at Andrew’s Lake. With the San
Juan Mountain Association, students
studied winter survival through the lens
of the Clark’s Nutcracker and explored
how heat transfer keeps us warm
outdoors. A stunning day of movement,
discovery, and joy in nature.
