The mission of Tri-County Head Start is to develop and provide quality, integrated, comprehensive early childhood development programs which offer a broad range of services and respond to the needs of eligible young children and their families for the purpose of preparing them for success in school and life.

Tri-County Head Start is hiring a Preschool Teacher Assistant in Pagosa Springs, and we're offering a $2,500 hiring bonus after six months on the job. You'll support a Lead Teacher in a warm, engaging classroom where young children learn, explore, and grow. We'll help you build your career through training, CDA coaching, and a clear pathway to becoming a qualified teacher professional.

✨ Full-time, August through May
✨ $17.92-$25.43/hour based on experience
✨ Health, dental, and vision, plus retirement and paid leave

From our Executive Director, Lisa Stone....After years of planning and fundraising, we are officially moving into our new, state-of-the-art Durango Head Start facility this week! We are so excited to welcome our children and families on Monday, August 10th.This dream project was made possible by the Office of Head Start, the Buell Foundation, our TCHS Board & Leadership Team, Reynolds Ash & Associates, the City of Durango, and FCI Constructors. We are deeply grateful for this lasting gift to our community's future generations.Look out for a video flyover of the new building next week, and stay tuned for details on our upcoming early fall Ribbon Cutting Celebration!

Attention Pagosa Springs families! We have another open enrollment day tomorrow, Wednesday the 22nd, at Pagosa Springs Head Start.

Stop by anytime between 9:30 AM and 3:00 PM, whatever works for you. Get help with your application, drop off documents, tour the center, or just come learn more about what we offer. No appointment needed.

Open enrollment is here! Our enrollment manager will be at Pagosa Springs Head Start today from 9am to 3pm to help families enroll.
