Out with the old in with the new! 💜💛

Two of our record breakers stopped in to update the Track & Field Record board after one again rewriting school history this season.

What makes this even cooler is that both athletes broke their OWN school records, meaning they got to take home the original record plaques they had already earned and replace them with brand new ones!

Jaxson Weiss sets the school record for the 100m Dash at 10.88

A very special moment for both of these athletes! It’s not everyday they get the chance to break a school record…but breaking your OWN record and earning a second spot in school history is something pretty special!

On June 3rd the Track & Field Team held their second annual cookout and awards banquet for this 2025-2026 Season! It was a great time to get together, chat about the season, and hand out SO many awards to our amazing athletes!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the team! We can’t wait for next season!!

Congratulations to our Panther Athletes who competed at the WIAA State Track & Field Championships this past weekend!

Jaxson Weiss was the State Runner up in the 100M Dash with a time of 10.88 breaking his own school record!!

Mallory Bauer took 5th place in Discus with a PR throw of 128’!!

Connor’s main event of the 3200m run took place Saturday morning after a long weather delay and eventually a cancellation of the afternoon events. He took 9th place overall with a PR time of 9:46.38!!

The boys 4x800M Relay consisting of Alex Brantner, Alex Hagness, Connor Davidson, and Zayne Richardson took 12th overall with a PR time of 8:21.84!!

Jaxson also took 9th overall in the long jump after a scratch jump that would have put him over 22 feet!

Connor Davidson also took 13th in the 1600m run with a time of 4:36.78 in some tough heat and after running the 3200m that morning due to weather!!

Congratulations to all athletes on their amazing season and for representing Durand with pride! Make sure to come out to Fun Fest today as Mallory and Jaxson will be represented in the parade and wish them a congratulations!

Today’s the Day!!! The WIAA State Track & Field Tournament starts at 3:30 for these kids! Make sure to wish them luck! We are so proud!

The state send off will be held at Durand-Arkansas High School on Wednesday, June 3rd at 10:35AM! Please join us in congratulating these athletes on their success and send them off to state!
