The Bertha Neal Elementary PTAC joins our entire Durand community in mourning the loss of our beloved principal, Mr. Robert Cawson.
Mr. C wasn’t just the leader of our school, he was the heart of it. He greeted students by name, celebrated their successes, offered encouragement during difficult moments, and created a school where children felt safe, valued, and loved. His impact reached far beyond the walls of Bertha Neal, touching the lives of families, staff, volunteers, and our entire community.
On behalf of the Bertha Neal PTAC, we extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Cawson’s family, friends, and everyone grieving this tremendous loss. We are holding each of you close in our thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
As we prepare to support our students, staff, and families in the days and weeks ahead, we encourage our Bertha Neal community to lean on one another, share kindness, and remember the countless ways Mr. C made our school a better place.
Thank you, Mr. C, for your unwavering love for our children, your leadership, your compassion, and the joy you brought to Bertha Neal every day. Your legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of the students, families, and staff whose lives you changed.
