Today, we participated in a beanbag toss activity that emphasized independence, turn-taking, and sustained attention. Students practiced finding their spot, retrieving their beanbag, preparing for their throw, and completing it as independently as possible. They also worked on waiting patiently, staying engaged during their peers' turns, and following the activity from start to finish. These skills help build independence, focus, patience, and the ability to follow routines in both PE and everyday settings.

August is SMA Awareness month, and we are so excited to be celebrating with all of you!

Every research grant funded, every clinical trial advanced, every family supported, none of it happens alone. It takes our incredible community continuing to show up.

This month, we're celebrating researchers pushing science forward, families living with SMA and the supporters who make our work possible.

Follow along all August for stories, spotlights and other ways to get involved 💜🧡

Week 3 is in full swing at Atlanta Prep! 🌟📚
We are so proud of how our students are settling into the 2026 school year. Adjusting to new schedules and environments takes time, but our community has stepped up with incredible strength, joy, and resilience.

From building meaningful friendships to practicing daily life skills and social-emotional growth, every day brings inspiring milestone moments across our school.

At Atlanta Prep, we are united in our core beliefs:
✨ Nurturing Inspires Learning: Every child deserves a supportive environment where they feel cared for, valued, and empowered.
✨ Building Confidence First: Focusing on each student's unique strengths helps them feel safe, capable, and ready to learn.
✨ A Fresh Start Every Day: We build on yesterday's successes and treat each new morning as a clean slate for growth.
✨ Growth Through Connection:Through tailored 1:1 personalized instruction, multi-sensory learning, and social-emotional development, our students learn to regulate emotions, express creativity, and navigate the world with confidence.

Thank you to our incredible teachers, staff, and families for making these first three weeks so meaningful. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead! 💙
