🎃 This week is all about PUMPKINS at The Astounding Academy!

Our scholars are learning how pumpkins grow, their colors, textures, seeds, and the different stages of the pumpkin life cycle. 🌱➡️🎃

Our toddlers practiced fine motor skills, hand strength, problem solving, and coordination by pulling taped pumpkins off the table, while our older scholars explored the life cycle of a pumpkin from seed to full-grown pumpkin.

Parent tip: Cut open a pumpkin at home and let your child explore the seeds, texture, and inside of the pumpkin while talking about how it grows. Hands-on learning helps concepts stick! 💛

🔢✨ Math in action!

Our scholars practiced counting blocks and matching the correct number to the quantity. This helps build number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, counting skills, focus, and early math confidence.

Parent tip: At home, have your child count everyday items like toys, snacks, or socks and match the amount to a written number.

🍁🎨 From Leaf Hunting to Fall Masterpieces! 🌳🍂

Our Astounding Scholars turned their outdoor discoveries into beautiful fall trees! We painted with warm fall colors and added the leaves we collected outside to bring our trees to life! 🍃🧡

🐘🦁🐒 This week we’re learning all about different animals and seeing how many our scholars can recognize!

As they identify animals, match names to pictures, and talk about the sounds they make, they’re building vocabulary, memory, observation skills, cognitive development, and language skills.

Parent tip: Point out animals in books, on walks, or in pictures and ask, “What animal is this?” or “What sound does it make?” Repetition helps strengthen recognition and confidence 💛
