Dyslexia Awareness Month continues. Today we make up for the fact that day #4 was unattainable thanks to FB being down; so today we drop some hard truths with a bit of myth busting about proper reading instruction. Balanced Literacy will never work. Period. This means curricula like Fountas & Pinnell and Units of Study. Yes, you read that correctly. These curricula fail all children. Every. Single. One. The empirical evidence is CLEAR and irrefutable.

Laurissa and Daniel were in a horrific accident. Their truck was t-boned causing it to roll several times. Laurissa was ejected from the truck and suffered extensive injuries to her pelvis and legs.
