✨ CONSISTENCY IS KEY. ✨

I’ve hit that wall, y’all. 😴☕ And I’m pretty sure there isn’t enough caffeine in the world to help me today. Bless. 😂

But this morning, I keep reminding myself of one word:

CONSISTENCY.

No matter how tired I am, how busy the day gets, or how many fiery darts life decides to throw my way, I have to keep showing up.

I have to be consistent in how I show up for my students.
Consistent in how I run my room.
Consistent in how I support my peers.
Consistent in my expectations.
Consistent even when everything around me feels anything BUT consistent.

We talk a lot in education about how important consistency is for our students—and it absolutely is. Students thrive when they know what to expect, when expectations are clear, and when the adults around them continue to show up.

But maybe we need that reminder for ourselves, too. 💙

Education has taught me a lot over the years, but one of the best tools I’ve ever added to my teacher toolkit isn’t something you can buy, download, laminate, or find on Amazon.

It’s consistency. 🧰✨

You don’t have to have the perfect day.
You don’t have to have all the answers.
You don’t even have to have enough caffeine. 😂☕ (I probably won’t function without it! lol)

Just keep showing up. Keep doing the work. Keep being the steady person your students can count on.

Consistency might not always be exciting, but it is powerful.

Yesterday I learned the hard way that I had NOT been drinking enough. 😩 A huge headache later, and yep… dehydrated!

💗💙✨ FEATURED TEACHER FRIDAY! ✨💙💗

Project EDLifted is so excited to introduce this week’s Featured Teacher — Kristine Porter! 🍎📚

Kristine teaches 5th Grade Science & STEM at Pauls Valley Intermediate in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma! 🔬🧪

Her story is exactly why we love highlighting educators. Kristine’s heart for teaching began with a passion for helping others. While coaching during college, she had the opportunity to become “their person” for students who needed someone in their corner—someone to encourage them, believe in them, and remind them that their circumstances did not determine their future. 💗

Watching those students thrive helped Kristine realize the difference ONE caring adult can make—and inspired her to become a teacher. 🥹

💜✨ THANKFUL THURSDAY — A LITTLE NOTE FROM ME ✨💜

Whew! These last couple of weeks have been CRAZY busy! 😅 Between getting fully back into the swing of the school year, long days, and all the things that come with being an educator, I feel like I’ve been running nonstop!

But I am never too busy to acknowledge YOU ALL and this amazing Project EDLifted community. 💜

I see the messages. I see the wishlists. I see the comments. I see you sharing and supporting one another. And even when I can’t respond as quickly as I would like, please know—I SEE YOU! 🫶

I’m learning that this season is going to require a little more balance. Project EDLifted means so much to me, but I also want to make sure I’m giving my very best to my students, my school, my family, and this community.

And now that I’m fully back in the swing of things, we’re going to keep doing what Project EDLifted was created to do:

💜✨ PROJECT EDLIFTED | MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY ✨💜

Whew! It has been a whirlwind kind of few weeks!

Today was one of those days when I hit the ground running, looked up, and BOOM—it was 3:00. 😂 Where did the day even go?!

I have so much ahead of me this year. I work at a relatively large middle school in a rural community, and I have so many ideas, hopes, dreams, and goals for what this year can become. I pray I get the opportunity to live out every single one of them.

Growing up, I heard two pieces of advice over and over.

Our Papa always said:
“Start out like you can hold out.”

And my Momma always taught me:
“Always be prepared for the unexpected.”

And let me tell you—my momma was and STILL IS organized! 😂 She’s the kind of woman people joke that you could eat off her floors.

But there is so much wisdom in those simple lessons.

💜 To our new educators: lean on your veteran teachers. Listen to them. Watch them. Take little nuggets of wisdom from the people who have walked this road before you, and then make those nuggets your own.

Learn from the best, but never believe that you have to be someone else to be successful.

Set your goals. Find your strengths. Believe in your purpose. And GO FOR IT.

One of my goals for Project EDLifted is simple:

🌱 Grow steady. Grow strong. Grow with purpose.

I want this little community to become something bigger than I ever imagined—not just in numbers, but in IMPACT.

Life for me is BUSY. I wear a whole lot of hats. I’m an educator, librarian, wife, mom, graduate student, mentor, active in women’s ministry, serve on several committees, and somehow keep finding new things to add to the list. 😂

But underneath all those titles is something much simpler:

I want my life to have purpose.
I want to love on people.
I want to support others.
I want to leave things a little better than I found them.

So maybe somebody needs this little bit of motivation today:

✨ Try something new.
✨ Set the goal.
✨ Ask the veteran for advice.
✨ Chase the idea that seems a little too big.
✨ Believe that YOU can make a difference.
✨ And don’t be afraid to discover just how far you can go.

Whether you’re a first-year teacher, a veteran educator, a librarian, a parent, a student, or someone juggling seventeen different hats like me—believe in your purpose.

You don’t have to have everything figured out today.

Just keep growing.

Just keep serving.

Just keep showing up.

And remember my motto:

💜 BE BETTER THAN YOUR YESTERDAY. 💜

That’s enough to make today count.

PS Made it home by 5:00 pm and even took some time to soak up some sun! The heat index here in NC was over 100 today! I wanted to work out but I opted for laying in the sun and just sweating it out instead! Motivational Monday is also for peace before all the chaos and busy!
