It’s that time of year again! 🌾🚜 And as always, we’re reminded just how lucky we are to be part of a community that shows up, helps out, and supports our students!

Today, Joseph Klein harvested our test plot, while Travis Sullivan and Tim Cogdill helped haul in our beans. A huge thank-you to these guys for giving their time and helping make this project possible!

Connor Kenkel leads our test plot and meets with students weekly to teach them about the process, from planting to harvest. It’s hands-on learning like this, made possible by the support of our community, that makes such a difference for our students.

We are so fortunate to live and learn in a community that invests in the next generation of agriculture. Thankful is an understatement! ❤️🚜🌾

BV FFA has been keeping busy and continuing to enhance our education beyond the classroom. Last week students had the chance to tour the DMACC Agribusiness Farm and learn more about classes and opportunities at DMACC. Yesterday, students had the opportunity to attend SW CDE Days in Atlantic. We had students involved in livestock judging, meat evaluation, floriculture and horse evaluation. We have been on the move and kicking the year off strong! Looking forward to National FFA Convention towards the end of this month!

🌱 We’re off to a wonderful start! 💙💛

On Tuesday, we kicked off our first FFA meeting of the year at the Dunlap Golf Course! We had an incredible turnout, with a record-breaking 52 members showing up—even with the heat! ☀️🙌

A huge THANK YOU to Aileen Heffernan for feeding our members and helping make our first meeting a success! 🌮

Then today, we welcomed 4 bred cows to the Boyer Valley FFA herd, thanks to the incredible generosity of Greg Thomsen for finding these and hauling them for us and the Ag Foundation for purchasing. 🐄❤️ All morning classes helped get things set up and ready to rock and roll!

We are so excited to continue raising and growing our herd alongside the gracious support and guidance of Greg and Will Epperly. Their generosity provides our students with hands-on experiences and opportunities that they will carry with them for years to come. In our 2 weeks of school they have already been in the classroom twice!

What an exciting way to kick off another year of Boyer Valley FFA! We can’t wait to see what this year brings! 🌾🐄💙💛 We have said it once and we will say it again, it truly takes a village and we are beyond proud and thankful for ours.
