Today the Pathways Crew was back in the kitchen at PUMC. Together a menu was planned and a shopping list was made earlier this week. This morning they shopped and made a delicious lunch for us all to enjoy. Nice Job Crew! Bon Appetit! 🍽

The Pathways College and Career Crew have gotten off to a quick start to the new school year and got busy setting up routine. Yesterday, the Crew had the opportunity to visit Better Banks, Dunlap IL for our first Career Awareness of 2026-27. Molly, Branch Manager, took us on a tour of the bank and explained some of the services offered including how safe deposit boxes work and how banking has changed over the years with more technology being used. Thank you, Molly and the Better Banks staff, for giving our Crew insight and the treats.

“BRUH WE OUT” using a couple of our recent Pathways graduates’ favorite words. The last couple of weeks were busy ones in Pathways and we have officially wrapped up a great 2025-26 school year.

***Last Greater Peoria Family YMCA with Fitness Thursday in the Community

***Service Learning at PUMC organizing children's books in the library along with cleaning the kitchen.

***Enjoyed our last Community Outing at Matari Coffee Shop

***Working on completing many orders for Living the Dream T-Shirts and other vocational jobs in the classroom.

***Cleaned and straightened the room for summer, continued organizing supplies for shirt business, and had some fun on our last day.

Yesterday, we hosted a graduation party with family and friends to commemorate a significant milestone as four Crew members completed the Pathways College and Career Transitional Program. We are excited for them as they start the next chapter of their life journey but will miss them. We are very proud of their hard work and wish them all the very best. 🎓🎊🎓

Our Crew had the opportunity to learn the art of crepe making from Peoria Grown. Amber walked us through each step from batter preparation to the creation of the creamy lemon-flavored filling. Following the crepe cooking process demonstrated by Amber, we filled the crepes with the lemon mixture and topped them with sliced strawberries.

Thank you, Amber and Peoria Grown, we enjoyed making and trying out this sweet treat. Look.forward to next school year.

The Pathways Crew got back home and were a bit tired after leaving Dunlap at 5:30 yesterday morning and returning just before 9 pm last night but what a beautiful day to enjoy a wonderful adventure together in the Windy City.

We traveled by Amtrak ( a first for some of the Crew) and learned how to purchase and navigate the Chicago L Train to Wrigleyville.

At Wrigleyville, we walked around a bit, enjoyed the sunshine and shopped in the Cub Store before beginning our tour of the second oldest baseball stadium, Wrigley Field. Clay, our tour guide, gave us a great tour and Wrigley fun facts and history.

After our tour, we enjoyed a delicious lunch across the street at Daddy O's Smokehouse, before heading back closer to Union Station. The Crew decided they wanted to visit Water Tower Place. Along the way they also stopped at the Harry Potter Store and IT'SUGAR before heading into the Water Tower.

The end of the year adventure was possible because of all the hardwork that the Crew does throughout the year participating in all facets of the Pathways Living the Dream T-Shirts that is supported by so many in our community. Thank you so much.
