This summer, students in Ms. Rich’s class learned all about the life cycle of a plant, the different parts of a plant and their functions, and what plants need to survive. On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, they had the wonderful opportunity to put their knowledge to the test while welcoming Ms. Alice from Flowers By Anthony into the classroom!

Each student chose their very own succulent and planted it in a clay pot they had painted the week before. They carefully watered their plants and added beautiful rocks to create their own unique decorations.

Ms. Alice was a wonderful instructor! She spent one-on-one time with each student, helping them throughout this calming and engaging sensory activity. She also answered their questions and shared her knowledge about plant life.

It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience that allowed the students to connect what they had been learning in the classroom with a fun and meaningful activity they could continue to enjoy and care for long after the lesson was over. We are so grateful to Ms. Alice for making this experience so special and for helping us wrap up our summer program in such a memorable way!

Hello DMHS families!

My name is Mr. Mike Green and I am the new Coordinator of Culture and Climate at the secondary school. My role will be to build systems that foster belonging, strengthen relationships, celebrate success, improve attendance and behavior, and ensure every student feels known, valued, and supported. I am looking to revive our school Parent Teacher Organization to assist me with this. I am looking for parents who are invested in our children's educational journey to join so we can work together to give them the best experience possible here at DMHS.
